Meet the real Kamala Harris: Her California record

How well do voters really know her public policies?

Sacramento, California (January 31, 2019) -- SaveCalifornia.com, which represents the best interests of California families, provides the following information, of which the public might not be aware, about U.S. Senator Kamala Harris of California, who's running to be President of the United States of America.

Kamala Harris has opposed the People's law and the People's vote when she personally disagreed with it: When declaring her candidacy on January 27, Kamala Harris proclaimed, "I will lead with integrity" ... "In my whole life, I've had only one client: The people" ... "our American democracy [is] under attack." She asserted, "I'm running to be president of the people, by the people, and for all people."

Yet as San Francisco district attorney in 2004, Harris went against the law of the People by refusing to seek the death penalty for an unrepentant cop killer. Even U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein reportedly said that if she had known Harris wouldn't seek the death penalty for murdering a policeman, she wouldn't have endorsed her for D.A.

And as U.S. senator, Harris attacked the People's First Amendment rights by claiming a Catholic judicial nominee was unfit due to his religious freedom on marriage: https://bit.ly/2MHpOPh

Kamala Harris still wants to ban private health insurance: In Iowa on January 28, Harris declared, "We need to have Medicare for all." She reasserted that she wants to ban all private health insurance plans in the country, saying, "Let's eliminate all of that. Let's move on."

Yet after public pushback, an unnamed advisor to Harris implied she was open to other proposals that would still permit private health insurance. But then, her national press secretary Ian Sams confirmed that Harris supports "Medicare-for-all ... Period."

Kamala Harris refuses to secure the U.S.-Mexico border: In November 2015, as a candidate for U.S. Senate, Harris strongly opposed the idea that "the way to keep us safe is to keep outsiders out." Later, in her first speech on the Senate floor, Harris declared, "An undocumented immigrant is not a criminal."

In 2018, Kamala Harris was the top signer of a letter (posted on her website) urging the Senate Appropriations Committee to "reduce funding for beds in the federal immigration system," reject calls to hire more Border Patrol personnel, and "reduce funding for the administration's reckless immigration enforcement operations."

"Voters will need to do their homework on Kamala Harris," said SaveCalifornia.com President Randy Thomasson. "Does the evidence show her to have integrity as a public servant, or deceit as a self-serving politician? Either way, her San Francisco values deserve a second look by every American who wants to vote right."
