Newsom & the Democrats side with invaders

Sunday, September 21, 2025, 12:27 pm | Randy Thomasson

Gov. Gavin Newsom and his Democrat Party legislators have no qualms about siding with invaders — those who have illegally crossed our borders.

And while their stance includes opposing border control, border security, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the bill Newsom just signed to “ban” face masks on ICE agents violates both federal statutes and the U.S. Constitution.

As Breitbart News explains:

“The legislation … is unconstitutional: state police cannot enforce the law against federal law enforcement officers due to the Supremacy Clause. It also unlawfully exempts the California Highway Patrol, the force that Newsom has dispatched to protect former Vice President Kamala Harris; discriminating against federal officers violates the Fourteenth Amendment’s Equal Protection Clause.”

What’s more, Scott Wiener’s SB 627 exempts big cities’ SWAT officers — another big legal weakness in the bill.

Ultimately, SB 627 is unenforceable and is merely fluff by Gavin Newsom telling Democrat Party activists to nominate him for president in 2028.

Q: Why is it important that ICE agents wear masks?

A: Because Leftist activists are actively trying to identify ICE agents, to dox them and threaten them and their families, to try to make them quit.

As The Center Square reported this summer:

As publicity has increased over ICE arrests, “ICE officers are facing a 413% increase in assaults while carrying out arrests,” the U.S. Department of Homeland Security said.

Lyons said the reason why ICE agents are wearing masks is because California residents were threatening them and their family members.

During a major operation in Los Angeles, “ICE officers were doxed. People were out there taking photos of the names [of the agents], their faces and posting them online,” Lyons said. California residents were also making death threats against ICE agents’ family members, he said.

“I’m not going to let my officers and agents go out there and put their lives on the line and their family on the line because people don’t like what immigration enforcement is. They’re wearing those masks because we ran an operation with the Secret Service [and they made the arrest] someone was going online taking their photos, posting their families, their kids’ Instagram, their kids’ Facebook [pages] and targeting them,” he said.

Bottom line, you either side with invaders or you side with border security. Siding with invaders destroys nations; siding with border security preserves nations.

PROMISE MADE: “On Day One … We will begin the largest deportation operation in the history of our country.” (10/21/24, Concord, NC) PROMISE KEPT: New York Post: Trump’s mass deportation raids result in 655% spike in arrests of terrorists roaming US — including one of India’s ‘most wanted’
Since President Trump took office, there have been 139,000 deportations.
In President Trump’s first 50 days, ICE arrested 32,809 illegal immigrants — nearly 75% of whom were accused or convicted criminals — virtually the same number of arrests over the entirety of Biden’s final year in office.

Union membership = worse government

Saturday, August 30, 2025, 9:27 am | Randy Thomasson

UPDATE August 30, 2025: We’ve added several new links at the end of this post to inform and equip you to leave your union behind for good!

UPDATE August 31, 2025: And see how bloated government union pensions are harming average citizens.

Original September 2, 2024 post:

Have you considered why California has such bad government? There are powerful forces supporting the New Communist Democrats, who are now three-fourths of both houses of the State Legislature, and who control all the statewide constitutional offices.

Yet the evil forces leading here aren’t the “useful idiots” (foolish voters dumbed down by the “public” schools, illegal aliens, self-centered government employees, etc.).

No, the wealthy, influential entities sustaining the iron-fisted rule of New Communist Democrats in California are both government unions and private unions. Don’t believe it? See how unions fund the Democrat Party Machine:

  • As reported in late 2023: “Democrats and their causes receive 95.7% of the cash from unions’ political action committees. In 2021-22 the Big Four gave more than $29 million to the SEIU’s United We Can super PAC and the NEA Advocacy Fund super PAC which support federal candidates for office. Another $16 million went to wealthy climate crusader Tom Steyer’s leftwing For Our Future Pac. Some $3 million went to Fair Share Massachusetts which supports a state wealth tax.

“Big money also flows at the state level, where public unions all but run many state capitals. In 2021-2022, the four largest government unions spent $27.9 million in Illinois, $24.9 million in California, $13.2 million in Minnesota and $12.1 million in Pennsylvania.

“Nearly 60% of unions’ annual political spending, or some $400 million, came from membership dues and about 40% came from unions’ political action committees for which workers make voluntary contributions for politics. While unions can’t send dues money directly to candidates, workers might be surprised to see their paycheck deductions funneled to outside groups that spend money on politics (including those that deploy the money out of state).”

  • As reported in 2021 after Gavin Newsom “won” his recall election, “Organized labor donated at least $25.7 million — or more than one-third of the total the governor raised to keep his job. Unions, of course, have deep ties to the Democratic Party and a stake in nearly every aspect of state government.”

Because of how unions and their “owned politicians” put deceptive tax hikes on the ballot, and since union bosses regularly spend union dues to elect and re-elect corrupt Democrat Party politicians, if you’re a union member, please resign from your union.

You have the legal right to do so, while keeping your job, benefits, and more of your own money. Here’s how government employees can get out and how private sector employees can stop funding the beast.

Remember, you have strong, fundamental free-speech rights to not be coerced into supporting objectionable union politics. Now that you’ve unpeeled the onion and found the rotten core, will you stop “feeding” the beast?

The biblical view of man is work-oriented. It affirms that man was placed on the earth to subdue it to the glory of God (Gen. 1:28; 9:1-7). It is not each man’s right to work. It is his duty to work. What is his lawful right is his right to compete for the job he wants, his right to compete for the labor services he wishes to purchase. No one has a right to my job, including me. Anyone should have the right to compete for my job, including me. And I have the right to compete for his.

Can a Republican win the California governor’s race?

Tuesday, April 29, 2025, 8:43 pm | Randy Thomasson

SaveCalifornia.com provides this solely for educational purposes
and does not support or oppose candidates for public office.

July 31, 2025 7:17am update: Big Democrat Kamala Harris announcing she won’t try to become California’s next governor actually increases the chances of a Republican to win one of “the top two” slots in the primary election and to even be elected governor.

To help you and your friends, SaveCalifornia.com has calculated the “jungle primary” math based on California’s 2024 presidential election results (giving Republican, American Independent, and Libertarian party candidates nearly 40% of the vote, and Democrat and other leftist party candidates nearly 60%).

See below for three hypothetical scenarios, numbered 1, 2, and 4 (Scenario #3 no longer applies):

* * *

In light of California’s “jungle primary,” is splitting the votes of conservatives good or bad, and what are the chances of a mostly-conservative Republican being on the November 2026 ballot or being elected governor?

To answer, mostly-conservative Republican Steve Hilton’s entrance into the 2026 California governor’s race has immediately split the conservative vote between him and mostly-conservative Republican Chad Bianco.

If Hilton had not declared his candidacy, Bianco would have been virtually assured of being the highest or second-highest vote-getter in the primary.

Still, in the hypothetical scenarios I’ve been crunching, it’s plausible that a Republican could be one of “the top two” in the primary election, and if Kamala Harris doesn’t jump in, there’s even a path for either Bianco and Hilton to become governor.

The 2026 primary election scenarios below divide up 59% of the vote between the Democrat Party candidates and 38% of the vote between the Republicans. This is based on California’s 2024 presidential election results, and are rounded up or rounded down to match.

Here are the “bigger” declared candidates, so far, in alphabetical order who want to replace Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom, who’s termed out:

Democrats:
Toni Atkins, former State Senate leader, former State Assembly leader
Xavier Becerra, former U.S. congressman, former State Attorney General, and former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services
Eleni Kounalakis, current Lieutenant Governor
Katie Porter, former U.S. congresswoman
Tony Thurmond, former state assemblyman and current State Superintendent of Public Instruction
Antonio Villaraigosa, former state assemblyman, former mayor of Los Angeles
Betty Yee, current State Controller

Republicans:
Chad Bianco, current sheriff of Riverside County
Steve Hilton, media voice, former tech start-up founder, former U.K. government advisor

SCENARIO 1: Two Democrats win “the top two” slots of the June 2026 primary election (two really work hard at the expense of the other Dems), so both Democrats advance to the November election, and a Democrat will again become governor:

22% Becerra
21% Porter

19% Bianco
18% Hilton
4% Villaraigosa
4% Thurmond
3% Yee
3% Kounalakis
3% Atkins
3% other

SCENARIO 2: 1 Democrat + 1 Republican win “the top two” (the Democrat Party machine pushes 1 Democrat hard at the expense of the others):

25% Becerra
20% Bianco

18% Hilton
9% Porter
7% Thurmond
6% Yee
5% Kounalakis
4% Villaraigosa
3% Atkins
3% other

SCENARIO 3: 1 Democrat + 1 Republican win “the top two.” Here, the biggest Democrat, Kamala Harris, enters the race and “sucks all the oxygen out” of the other Democrats.

If Harris enters the race, expect up to 5 Democrats to drop out (Atkins, Kounalakis, Porter, Thurmond, and Yee). Also expect Harris to be puffed and promoted by California’s New Communist machinery. This scenario means a Republican will be on the November ballot.

39% Harris
20% Hilton

18% Bianco
12% Becerra
8% Villaraigosa
3% other

SCENARIO 4: Two Republicans win “the top two” (if Big Democrat Kamala Harris doesn’t jump in, Democrats might simply split into 7 portions that are smaller than the 2 Republican portions), meaning there will be a Republican governor:

20% Hilton
18% Bianco

13% Becerra
12% Porter
8% Thurmond
8% Yee
7% Kounalakis
6% Villaraigosa
5% Atkins
3% other

I’ve provided these 4 scenarios to give you hope. In 3 of the 4, a Republican (either Bianco or Hilton, both mostly-conservatives) advances to the general election. Let this energize you to support the candidate who best represents your values!
