CLAIM YOUR RIGHTS: Persons of Faith
Religious freedom is enshrined in the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, which reads:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
"An establishment of religion" meant Congress could not pass a law creating an official denomination in the United States, with the president in charge, as the king was head of the Church of England.
"The free exercise (of religion)" meant people could practice their religion however they wished, as long as they were not physically harming others or damaging property of others.
You have freedom of religion in America. Even if certain judges and government bodies don't recognize your freedom, you must stand for your rights, for your sake and the sake of others who wish to restore religious freedom to American soil.
