CLAIM YOUR RIGHTS: Parents
As the immorality of society has increased, the desire of parents to protect their children has risen. So have the legal attacks upon parental rights.
But there are state and national laws recognizing and protecting parents' rights in numerous areas. The key is that you claim your rights.
For example, as a parent, you have the right to:
- Homeschool
- Exempt your children from objectionable material in government schools
- Give or deny permission for body-piercing and tattoos
- Give or deny permission to drive after age 16
- Give or deny permission for clothes, purchases, hair style, music, etc.
- Instruct and regulate your children's behavior at home and outside the home
- Give or deny permission for medical or psychological treatment (with the exception of abortion in California and some other states)
The first step for parents of public school students is to give your children a measure of protection from immoral education promoting abortion, condoms and homosexuality.
That protection is available to parents who use the Student Exemption Form for California and other opt-out forms around the nation.
