E-mail Print

As the Democrat-controlled California Senate prepared to vote on "Harvey Milk Gay Day" in public schools, SaveCalifornia.com was warning parents and urging them to contact their state senators. After SB 572 was passed by 23 Democrats and 1 Republican, SaveCalifornia.com's news release blasting the sexual indoctrination of children generated this news coverage:

'In-your-face, anything-goes, homosexual-bisexual-transsexual indoctrination': Pro-family groups were swift to react to the bill’s passage. "SB 572 could mean homosexual-bisexual-transsexual pride parades in public schools every May 22," said Randy Thomasson, president of SaveCalifornia.com, a non-profit, non-partisan organization representing children and families.

'Harvey Milk Day' exposes children in schools to 'gay' activist agenda, critics say:
"SB 572 could mean homosexual-bisexual-transsexual pride parades in public schools every May 22. SB 572 pressures elementary, junior high and high schools to 'conduct suitable commemorative exercises' in support of the radical sexual agenda of Harvey Milk," Thomasson said in a news release. "Where are the boundaries? Where are the definitions? This in-your-face, anything-goes, homosexual-bisexual-transsexual indoctrination is definitely not what parents want for their children."

California kids to honor, study Harvey Milk?: The vote today in the state Senate was 24-14, according to Randy Thomasson of Save California, who said the result now may mean bisexual or transsexual pride parades in schools every May 22. "This … is definitely not what parents want for their children," he said of the proposal that requires no parental consent for mandatory student participation.

California school day would honor homosexual pioneer:
According to Thomasson, parental permission for children to participate in any related activities would not be required under S.B. 572, effectively trampling on parents' rights. He also contends the measure would "encourage public schools to positively portray to children any and all facets of homosexuality, bisexuality, and trans-sexuality -- and anything else that's 'in the closet.'"

'Gay Day' bill passes California Senate Committee:
"If signed into law, SB 572 will mean an official day commemorating homosexuality, bisexuality, and transsexuality in California government schools, without parental permission," said Randy Thomasson, president of SaveCalifornia.com.
