Democrat Party politicians are burning up California

Friday, October 31, 2025, 11:51 am | Randy Thomasson

No, the Dem politicians DON’T CARE and WON’T PREVENT out-of-control wildfires that kill people, incinerate homes, and greatly pollute the air.

From the start of the Jerry Brown administration (2011-2019) through the Gavin Newsom administration (2019-present), there have been 117,113 wildfires total on California land.

All because, beholden to environmental wacko groups, they’ve refused to clear out dead trees and brush, or thin out overgrown live trees and brush.

Their criminal neglect has resulted in abundant, highly combustible fuel that transforms little fires into highly-destructive “monster” fires.

Adding to the huge problem of “spreading” is the “starting” problem, a consequence of the Democrat Party politicians’ pro-transient policies, resulting in irresponsible fire-starters statewide.

STREET PEOPLE ARE STARTING MANY FIRES

“Homeless Start 17,000 Fires in Los Angeles City Annually, Says LA Fire Department,” Santa Monica Observer 3/7/25

“The most reliable data on fires started by homeless people in the City of Los Angeles comes from the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), which tracks “homeless fires” — incidents linked to encampments or unsheltered individuals.

“For the City of Los Angeles specifically (not the broader county), the LAFD reported 13,909 such fires in 2023. This number reflects a significant increase from prior years — nearly double the 7,149 recorded in 2020 — and aligns with a trend of rising incidents: 8,823 in 2021 and 11,595 in 2022.

“These numbers align with the LAFD’s observed annual increase of 2,000–3,000 fires since 2019, making 16,000–17,000 plausible for 2024, though official confirmation is pending.”

REMEMBER: Because little fires turning into “monster” fires is a direct result of Democrat Party politicians’ neglect, every out-of-control wildfire is a Democrat Party wildfire.

Your country is desolate,
Your cities are burned with fire;
Strangers devour your land in your presence;
And it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice;
But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.

Fact-checking Gavin Newsom

Saturday, March 8, 2025, 10:51 am | Randy Thomasson

Is Gavin Newsom lying — again? Probably, maybe, and definitely.

1. CLAIM: On March 1, he declared he was fast-tracking “forest management” to prevent wildfires.

FACT: But Newsom has made window-dressing announcements like this before, such as touting that he “took similar action in March 2019 to expedite forest management projects.” But as liberal Capitol Public Radio reported in 2021: “Overall, California’s response has faltered under Newsom. After an initial jump during his first year in office, data obtained by CapRadio and NPR’s California Newsroom show Cal Fire’s fuel reduction output dropped by half in 2020, to levels below Gov. Jerry Brown’s final year in office. At the same time, Newsom slashed roughly $150 million from Cal Fire’s wildfire prevention budget.”

Does California have a governor or not? If any more wildfires incinerate neighborhoods or communities, know this — it’s Newsom’s fault.

2. CLAIM: On March 3, Newsom ordered state employees to be in the office for “a default minimum of four in-person days per work week.”

FACT: Unfortunately, this order isn’t effective until the summer. Yet Newsom’s own supporters are already crying foul. The largest state employee union (SEIU Local 1000) has filed an “unfair practice charge” with the state’s Public Employment Relations Board. Another government union, the California Association of State Attorney and Administrative Law Judges, also opposes “returning to the office.” If Newsom doesn’t hold union bosses and bureaucrats accountable, his words were mere talk (remember he’s mocked DOGE). We’ll find out July 1.

3. CLAIM: On March 6, Gavin Newsom said it’s “deeply unfair” for “trans” athletes to be in girls’ and women’s sports. This was during a discussion with moral conservative Charlie Kirk on Newsom’s new “This is Gavin Newsom” podcast.

FACT: Yet, at the same time, Newsom didn’t commit to doing anything to stop biological boys from invading girls’ sports. As governor, Newsom has signed many bills to promote transsexuality in classrooms, school restrooms, teacher training, foster homes, libraries, department stores, hospitals, insurance policies, courts, and in other states (Children, come to California for your secret, taxpayer-funded “sex change”). Newsom is pro-”trans” all the way. See his bill signings in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.

TOP ALERT: Urge the Trump Administration to help California in these 10 ways

Thursday, February 27, 2025, 12:50 pm | Randy Thomasson

Please scroll down to see 10 essential things you can urge the Trump Administration to do in California. But first, celebrate the good that President Trump is already doing!

Here are 3 needful ways President Trump is already helping California:

1. HALTING THE BULLET TRAIN BOONDOGGLE: In Los Angeles on Feb. 20, President Trump’s Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced he’s commencing a “compliance review” into California’s wasteful “bullet train” to determine how Newsom & Co. spent $4.3 BILLION in federal funds already given.

For all practical purposes, this action will prevent new federal funding of the Democrat Party machine’s “bullet train’ boondoggle. And without federal funding, the “work” on the “train to nowhere” will likely cease due to the project’s professed dependence on federal funds.

2. PREVENT AND DEPORT INVADERS: More good news is President Trump is already fighting for American security and identity by stationing U.S. troops at our border with Mexico.

Next, you can expect a federal lawsuit against the pro-illegal-alien State of California and California “sanctuary cities” (new U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has already sued the big Democrat-Party states of Illinois and New York).

3. KEEP DRIVING WITH RELIABLE GASOLINE: You can also expect the Republican-controlled Congress to override the California “waivers” to “ban” new gasoline-powered cars as of 2035.

After Trump was reelected, Newsom & Co. sought 8 “waivers” limiting or prohibiting gasoline-powered engines “from locomotives to leaf blowers.” These awful notions of Democrat Party politicians would make electricity more costly and less reliable. Therefore, it’s a relief the Republican Congress is expected to overrule and deny them.

Yet there are ADDITIONAL, PRESSING PROBLEMS for the Trump Administration to solve in California — in at least 10 key areas!

PLEASE TAKE QUICK ACTION: Contact the White House (web form) and the U.S. Dept. of Justice (web form) to lobby them to intervene in California.

It’s most effective if you use the Trump and DOJ web forms for one subject at a time, sending up to 10 separate messages. Each time, in the subject-line field, type a clear message, such as, “Investigate election fraud in California.”

  1. Investigate, expose, and prosecute California election fraud (see more)
  2. Investigate California hospitals that still mutilate children (see more)
  3. Investigate California’s sky-high electricity rates (see more)
  4. Investigate California’s oppressive water rates and water shortages (see more)
  5. Commence aggressive forest management on all federal land in California (the U.S. government owns 45.4% of the land in California, most of it forest and other wilderness areas)
  6. Sue or join existing federal lawsuits to restore our Second Amendment rights (see more)
  7. Investigate vaccine tyranny (“take the shot or else”) where it exists — vaccines should be voluntary (see more)
  8. Investigate violations of religious liberty — for small business owners, students, employees, and more — based on the First Amendment, the 1964 Civil Rights Act, and numerous federal laws
  9. Investigate violations of parental rights in federal law (see more)
  10. Investigate public corruption by elected officials of California state government and California’s big cities, at all levels (bribery, extortion, cronyism, nepotism, parochialism, patronage, influence peddling, graft, and embezzlement)
