Who’s resigned in Sacramento?

What does it say to you when elected officials stalk and corner “lesser” people for sexual “favors”?

It’s not unexpected that there are sexual wrongs being done at California’s State Capitol. Most state legislators are godless — which leaves them with the conscious or unconscious motivations of Money, Sex, and Power. For without loving God and people, it’s their default.

Two questions:

1. Have you noticed that every California state legislator who’s resigned or otherwise stepped down in the last few months over allegations of sexual misdeeds is a Democrat?

2. Will this change how you vote this election year?

For the sake of children’s role models, these are important questions for you to answer and to share with your friends. Will you think about them and ask others to do likewise?

Democrat assemblyman Raul Bocanegra of the 39th Assembly District, which covers Sylmar, San Fernando, Pacoima and Sunland-Tujunga, resigned after being accused of groping 6 women. The special primary election to replace him is April 3 (there are several Democrats but also two Republicans, one of which, with enough support, could qualify for the June 5 run-off by receiving the second-highest number of votes.

Democrat assemblyman Matt Dababneh of the 45th Assembly District, which covers most of the western San Fernando Valley. resigned after a lurid accusation that he exposed himself to a female lobbyist, with other women accusing him after he resigned. The primary election to replace Dababneh is also April 3, with a June 5 runoff.

The ironic sexual predator accusations against leading “Me Too” agenda Democrat assemblywoman Cristina Garcia of the Los Angeles County “Gateway Cities” of Montebello, Pico Rivera, Bell Gardens, Downey, Norwalk, Bellflower, Artesia and Cerritos even rocked some in the national media. A woman stalking and groping men? Garcia was forced to take unpaid leave pending the Legislature’s investigation.

Democrat state senator Tony Mendoza resigned rather than face expulsion after an investigation “found it was likely he made unwanted advances toward six women during his tenure as a lawmaker, including four women who worked as his staffers.” Saying he’s innocent, Mendoza has announced he’s running for re-election for the very same seat he just resigned from. Yes, sometimes politics is stranger than fiction. Overlapping Cristina Garcia’s Assembly district, the 32nd Senate District encompasses Buena Park and the “Gateway Cities” of Los Angeles County.

In selecting men for office, let principle be your guide. Regard not the particular sect or denomination of the candidate — look at his character. It is alleged by men of loose principles, or defective views on the subject, that religion and morality are not necessary or important qualifications for political stations. But the Scriptures teach a different doctrine. They direct that rulers should be men who rule in the fear of God, able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness. It is to the neglect of this rule that we must ascribe the multiplied frauds, breaches of trust, peculations and embezzlements of public property which astonish even ourselves; which tarnish the character of our country and which disgrace government. When a citizen gives his vote to a man of known immorality, he abuses his civic responsibility; he sacrifices not only his own responsibility; he sacrifices not only his interest, but that of his neighbor; he betrays the interest of his country.

Why ‘tucking in’ your children is a good thing

Saturday, February 24, 2018, 8:01 am | Randy Thomasson

Deep down, children desire affection and security. Here’s a simple way to provide just that.

Not mature and not adult, children have many fears that they can’t identify, but which they can certainly, even unconsciously, feel as real.

That’s why tucking in your children to bed, and showing them some healthy parental affection, provides a sense of security, love, and bonding that pays big benefits.

It’s a fact that a child who receives identity, value, and security from parents is much less likely to drift into false identities, false significance, and false security elsewhere.

And a child who knows that he or she is loved is much less likely to look for “love” in wrong places, or to become cold and heartless themselves.

So invest in your young sons and daughters. Tuck them in at night. Give them some warm, healthy affection. And step out in faith and pray to Creator God with them. Because knowing that you and God love them can make all the difference inside.

I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the Lord sustained me. (Psalm 3:5)

California baker’s religious freedom beats back unconstitutional ‘LGBT’ attack

Thursday, February 8, 2018, 12:33 pm | Randy Thomasson

Good news! A California baker’s religious freedom trumps the attack of “LGBT” activists.

Yes, you heard right — a religious freedom victory in California. And hopefully, it signals a upcoming victory from the U.S. Supreme Court in June.

Cathy Miller is the hard-working, creative owner of Tastries Bakery in Bakersfield.

Last year, when two confused, arrogant women who practice homosexuality on each other walked into her bakery and demanded a homosexual “wedding” cake, Cathy declined because of her strong Christian faith. Of course, the Bible says marriage is only between a man and a woman; if you don’t have a man and a woman, you just don’t have marriage.

After Cathy referred the homosexuals to another bakery that would have “no problem” with same-sex “wedding” cakes, the two militant “LGBT” activists walked out in a huff. It was no surprise that Cathy was later hit with an official complaint from the State of California.

Fortunately, Cathy was offered the excellent legal representation of pro-family attorney Chuck LiMandri of San Diego. And guess what? A Kern County judge who used to work at a law firm that protected businesses from frivolous lawsuits has rejected the Democrat Attorney General of California, who wanted to force this Christian baker to betray Jesus Christ and participate in and approve of false, unbiblical, homosexual “marriages.”

Yes, Christianity and the U.S. Constitution have won over the anti-free-speech, anti-religious-freedom, anti-ownership-rights homosexual activists and their Democrat politicians! Because the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution protects religion — for anyone interested in reading it.

Of course, Cathy’s civil religious freedom to obey Jesus Christ instead of homosexual activists legally depends on the U.S. Supreme Court’s expected ruling this June in Masterpiece Cakeshop, Ltd v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission.

But for now, please celebrate Cathy’s moral victory, which is a win for you and other people of faith everywhere. Here’s some good-news articles about it:

Kern County judge rules against State of California in case against Tastries Bakery

Judge: Baker has right to refuse ‘same-sex wedding’ cakes

And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife,’ and the two shall become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” Jesus Christ in Matthew 19:4-6
