'Valentine's Day is about romantic love between a male and a female'

Sacramento, California -- A long-time pro-family organization in California is celebrating Valentine's Day as a day honoring natural attraction between a man and a woman, while homosexual activists demanding California licenses today -- when they know they don't qualify for it -- are reducing marriage to a publicity stunt.

"A man and a woman are naturally attracted to each other because God designed a man and a woman for each other," said Randy Thomasson, president of SaveCalifornia.com, which promotes moral virtues for the common good. "In contrast, homosexual behavior is neither natural nor healthy, and doesn't qualify for marriage, which requires one man and one woman, no more, no less."

"Valentine's Day is about romantic love between a male and a female, and can be an important day for a man and a woman looking forward to the beauty and benefits of marriage," Thomasson said. "But those who are demanding same-sex marriage licenses are lowering marriage to a publicity stunt to advance their unnatural and unhealthy agenda. Homosexual activists in San Francisco and elsewhere seem to never tire of trampling everything good and sacred in order to exalt themselves. But look what's happening -- they're violating both the form and substance of marriage by hijacking and cheapening this God-given institution."

SaveCalifornia.com has filed a friend-of-the-court brief on behalf of Proposition 8 with the United States Supreme Court, which will hear oral arguments on March 26.
