How to protect girls’ sports in California?
Bottom line, it’s going to take a better federal lawsuit than the states’ rights case that the U.S. Supreme Court handed down on June 30, which allows individual states to decide whether biological boys can be prohibited from joining girls’ sports teams.
So, while 29 of 50 states will continue doing what’s biblically and scientifically right — prohibiting confused biological boys from being on girls’ sports teams — 21 states — most of them run by Democrat Party politicians — will continue to unfairly discriminate against girls, and promote the Big Lie that you can “change” your sex.
All because there weren’t enough votes among the six Republicans on our nation’s high court to historically, logically, legally, and lovingly rule that “sex” in 1972 meant males and females, and that no school or college using federal funds can permit boys to invade girls’ sports teams and sports facilities (locker rooms, showers, and rest rooms), and vice versa.
The “Republican majority” of SCOTUS should have ruled that way, but they didn’t.
Where does this leave California families?
Because of AB 1266 from 2013 (the only yes votes were from Democrat Party legislators, and Democrat Party governor Jerry Brown signed it), California law continues to require all K-12 public schools to permit biological boys in girls’ restrooms, showers, clubs, and sports teams; and biological girls in boys’ restrooms, showers, clubs, and sports teams.
And the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) is no help at all, preferring to bow down to Newsom & Co. instead of supporting fairness for girls or being honest about the word “sex” in Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 meaning only male or female, not in-between.
Solution #1:
A bill in Congress, if passed and signed into law, would separate biological boys from biological girls in school sports competitions nationwide. And although H.R. 28 is minimal, not strong, protection, it’s been stalled in the U.S. Senate, despite passing the U.S. House in January 2025. Therefore, it’s only likely to pass if this year’s elections send better Republicans to the venerable chambers of the United States Senate.
Solution #2:
A federal lawsuit emanating from Southern California, and currently in the federal courts, alleges California’s AB 1266 violates Title IX by oppressing female athletes, who have “faced unsafe conditions, experienced a loss of privacy, missed out on athletic opportunities, and have been denied the fair competition Title IX was designed to protect.”
This excellent lawsuit aims to invite the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold the original intent of Title IX’s phrase, “on the basis of sex,” and apply it nationwide to government schools receiving federal funds, thus prohibiting biological boys from invading girls’ sports teams, locker rooms, showers, and restrooms. Such a ruling in 2027 or 2028 would hold California’s AB 1266 unlawful, which would be a great victory. Because, so far, even California Democrat Party politicians have submitted to SCOTUS rulings they don’t like.
Solution #3:
For years now, SaveCalifornia.com has been urging girls and their parents to boycott competitions where biological boys are permitted to compete against biological girls. Do something loving and significant by protesting the tyrannical agenda attacking both girls and science (and attacking the Bible, which agrees with real science).
You protest by not participating in the “trans” competition, and you tell the organizers and the media why. Don’t join with evil – rather expose and oppose what’s evil!
