'Day of Silence' is the tip of the iceberg of public schools' displaced priorities

Sacramento, California (April 26, 2018) -- SaveCalifornia.com, a leading pro-family, pro-child organization, is warning parents that Friday's disruptive "Day of Silence" in the K-12 government school system further demonstrates the non-academic priorities of today's public schools.

"You know public schools are getting worse when they waste another academic day like this," said Randy Thomasson, president of SaveCalifornia.com, which promotes moral virtues for the common good. "Permitting rebellious children to stay silent in order to distract other students shows how government schools are placing political correctness above reading, writing, math and science.
 
"SaveCalifornia.com is urging morally-sensitive parents to keep their children home Friday, April 27, and instead use the time to teach kids the facts of human physiology and the benefits of sexual purity.

What are the displaced priorities of California public schools doing to children? One of the best testing assessments comes from the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP). Around two-thirds of public-school children nationwide, and nearly three-fourths of children in California public schools are NOT being taught to read or do math proficiently.

"Obviously, when today's public schools refuse to teach children rigorous academics so that they master reading, writing, math, and science, you know that every politically-correct exercise is another backwards step that dumbs down our children," Thomasson said.

"If you have your eyes open, you know that 'LGBTIQ' activists who claim to be victims are actually trampling the constitutional rights of everyone else," Thomasson added. "Free speech, religious freedom, ownership rights, property rights, parental rights, and the right of association are all being victimized. This is reason enough for any right-thinking person to oppose the tyrannical 'LGBTIQ' agenda, and high motivation for loving parents to rescue their children both academically and morally."

Students participating in Friday's "Day of Silence" will wear pro-homosexuality and pro-transsexuality T-shirts, buttons, and stickers, refuse to answer teachers' questions in classrooms, make it difficult for other students to concentrate, and generally take over school campuses for the entire day.

School administrators have frequently denied sponsoring, participating in, or allowing the "Day of Silence," but are nonetheless allowing students to be silent without consequence. Even some teachers will "go silent," writing pro-"LGBTIQ" messages on boards, and setting up classroom displays to teach impressionable children that aggressive homosexual-transsexual activists are "victims"; that more laws promoting their intolerant agenda are somehow needed, when there are already numerous laws prohibiting physical harassment of students; and that homosexuality is natural and healthy, when the evidence is it's unnatural and unhealthy. "It's politically-correct antics like the 'Day of Silence' that are motivating more parents to permanently remove their children from of the government schools," Thomasson said. "They don't want their children fed lies, especially sexual lies. This is a wide-scale crisis for parents. For the 'Day of Silence' is on top of ten statewide school sexual indoctrination laws and the refusal of today's public schools to teach children to master academics. Friday's sexually-confused stunt is just the tip of the iceberg."
