Answers to Your General Questions
| Q: | How is your organization funded? |
| A: | We are mostly sustained by one-time gifts and monthly pledges from individuals. Businesses and churches are more than welcome to donate. There is no legal limit to size or frequency of your donations. We receive no government funding. |
| Q: | Are my donations tax deductible? |
| A: | Yes. Campaign for Children and Families is recognized as a 501(c)(3) organization by the IRS, making your donation of any size completely tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. |
| Q: | When will I receive my annual tax receipt statement? |
| A: | By January 31 of each year you will receive your annual tax receipt statement. This statement reflects your total tax deductible gifts for the previous year. Throughout the year, thank you letters are sent to supporters acknowledging your most recent gift. |
| Q: | How can I receive free information from you on moral and family issues? |
| A: | Just sign up on our Subscription page for email, RSS feeds plus connect on Facebook and Twitter. |
| Q: | How is SaveCalifornia.com different than SaveAmerica.com? |
| A: | Both entities are part of Campaign for Children and Families, which is based in California. SaveCalifornia.com is our main identity to California residents and focuses on state issues. SaveAmerica.com is our main identity to everyone living outside of California, including national media. Our SaveAmerica page, powered by SaveCalifornia.com, highlights information for a national audience. |
| Q: | Is Randy Thomasson available to speak to my group? |
| A: | Randy Thomasson enjoys speaking to church congregations and at other events. He accepts a limited number of speaking requests each year. His style is warm, passionate and bold. If your group is ready for a straight-forward message that will not only inform but practically challenge them to make changes in their lives and their thinking, Randy’s your man. Visit our Invite Randy to Speak page to learn more and to submit your request. |
| Q: | What are the benefits of being an independent entity and independent voice for family values issues? |
| A: | If there were only one pro-family organization, it would be easier on donors, but bad for society. Pro-family diversity allows multiple voices to powerfully impact the media and the hearts and minds of average people. Being an independent organization also avoids the temptation of becoming a vassal of a national organization that can force principle to be watered down (yes, this does happen). Non-affiliation provides greater opportunity to maintain and improve pro-family principles, and brings accountability to the pro-family community as a whole. Generally speaking, the more pro-family organizations, the better, because it means the pro-family movement is growing and reaching more people. |
