What I committed to God tonight

Tuesday, May 3, 2016, 9:48 pm | Randy Thomasson

baby-shopping-cart
This evening I didn’t watch any painful political news. Instead, I went to Costco and bought some organic, God-made food that we needed.

As I waited in the check-out line, I looked at the marquee above the food court. All processed, even fake “food.”

Then I looked at three young children sitting in three different shopping carts facing their parents. The two oldest, who had to be around 4 years old, had android phones in their hands. One girl was even tapping at it. The third girl was younger and had no electronic device but was gazing around with big eyes.

And I committed three things to God:

1. I pledged myself to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to love and serve Him and live for Him despite the world following the flesh and power and the pleasure of sin instead of following Creator God and His holy word and enjoying His favor.

2. I pledged myself to seek godly things — including godly food — not the destructive, processed and fake “food” of the world that hurts the body.

3. And I pledged myself to think and pray how I could do more for children like the ones sitting in the shopping carts. Whether you consider them a blank slate or depraved from birth, they’ve been born into a culture that is more dark, pagan, and dangerous than ever in this nation. They need to be rescued!

If you want to encourage me and our Campaign for Children and Families team to keep going — and growing — to shine the light of God’s truth in courageous and practical, tangible ways in our culture, I would appreciate your vote of confidence at this time.

keep_the_faith_wooden_crossOn this night and in these sobering times, will you also recommit yourself to serve God and love people?

Thank you for thinking about how to grow in faith and love!

When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”

Election 2016: Are born-again Christians denying God’s word?

Barnareportbiblereading2014

SaveCalifornia.com and SaveAmerica.com provides this solely for educational purposes
and does not support or oppose candidates for public office.

It’s a foundational problem that has me very concerned.

South Carolina’s February 20 exit polls show that half of professing born-again Christians are denying God’s values as their priority. The exit polls also showed that, of those Christians who say it matters most that a candidate “shares my values” or “shares my religious beliefs,” these family-values voters were confused — and split their votes between moral, half-moral/half-immoral, and immoral candidates.

The solution? Christian voters need to know that, among the 3 top Republican presidential candidates, the facts fairly and accurately show that Donald Trump SUPPORTS MUCH, Marco Rubio SUPPORTS PART, and Ted Cruz OPPOSES ALL of the unnatural, unhealthy, unbiblical, tyrannical homosexual-bisexual-transsexual agenda that’s greatly harming children and families and our culture.

Just the facts: Both Trump and Rubio oppose a constitutional amendment protecting man-woman marriage, say that all 50 states must perform homosexual “weddings,” support open homosexuality and transsexuality in the U.S. military, and have either attended or would attend a homosexual “wedding.” See the documentation of the Report Card on the Natural Family.

Here’s the South Carolina exit poll showing “Christians” all over the place:

Very conservative (38% of South Carolina Republican voters)
Cruz 35%
Trump 29%
Rubio 19%

Born-again or evangelical Christian (72% of South Carolina Republican voters)
Trump 33%
Cruz 27%
Rubio 22%

White evangelical or white born-again Christians (67% of South Carolina Republican voters)
Trump 34%
Cruz 26%
Rubio 21%

Matters “a great deal” that a candidate shares your religious beliefs (43% of South Carolina Republican voters)
Cruz 32%
Trump 27%
Rubio 20%

Matters “a great deal or somewhat” that a candidate shares your religious beliefs (76% of South Carolina Republican voters)
Trump 31%
Cruz 27%
Rubio 22%

“Shares my values” matters most in deciding how you voted today (37% of South Carolina Republican voters; if all of these also claimed to be “born-again Christians, 37% is a little more than half of the 72% of South Carolina Republican voters who claim to be born-again or evangelical Christians)
Cruz 34%
Rubio 27%
Trump 8%

Which candidate would best handle Supreme Court nominations
Cruz 28%
Trump 28%
Rubio 19%

TAKE QUICK ACTION: Please inform professing Christians who say they care about moral values or care about the word of God. Send them our “truth detector” reporting the family-values differences between Trump, Rubio, and Cruz. See and share the Report Card on the Natural Family. Send it to morally-conservative pastors and radio hosts too!

“And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy. He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’

The Faithful Church
“And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”: “I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell yon the earth. Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'”

Stop thinking negative — conservatives can win!

I’ve been saying it for years — family values can WIN when moral conservatives outweigh liberal voters on election day!

Tuesday’s victories across the nation on Nov. 3, 2015:

  • The tyrannical homosexual-bisexual-transsexual Houston ordinance forcing its immoral agenda on small business owners and moral people was defeated by 61% of voters! This is a tremendous victory for religious freedom and for pastors “coming out of the closet”!
  • Matt Bevin has been elected Governor of Kentucky. My friend Mat Staver of Liberty Counsel describes Bevin as “an outspoken Christian, a strong businessman, politically conservative and Constitution based, pro-life, pro-faith, and pro-family.” Bevin came from behind to win by 9 points, making him the second Republican in 40 years to become Kentucky governor.
  • Ohioans voted down legalization of “recreational” marijuana and the deceptive “medicinal” marijuana too.
  • Voters in Portland, Maine protected jobs, the economy, and business owner rights by striking down a big increase to the government-imposed minimum wage.
  • Wise voters in Coos County, Oregon who realized that responsible gun owners are a great deterrent to would-be violent criminals won their 2nd Amendment rights back by authorizing their sheriff to ignore unconstitutional state and federal anti-gun laws.

FROM THE LIBERAL ACTIVIST PUBLICATION HUFFINGTON POST
Conservatives have a big night in local and state elections
One lesson for Democrats analyzing their losses: Many of the races suffered from low voter turnout and engagement, as off-year elections attract less attention. Traditionally, more Republicans turn out for midterm and off-year elections, giving them a built-in advantage.

Bottom line, Tuesday’s moral victories were a result of more conservatives deciding to vote and vote right, while liberals and the mushy middle were less energized. Elections are simple math. Whichever side turns out the most voters wins!

CaliPro-family Californians, learn from this! General voter turnout in California is at an all-time low because of corrupt government, bad teaching, and laziness. Therefore, if church-going folks and moral conservatives between San Diego and Yreka commit to vote next year and to urge other pro-family voters to get informed and vote righteously, similar wins can happen here!

Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote that he is not making a present or a compliment to please an individual – or at least that he ought not so to do; but that he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country.
U.S. founding father Samuel Adams, in 1781

Consider well the important trust . . . which God . . . [has] put into your hands. . . . To God and posterity you are accountable for [your rights and your rulers]. . . . Let not your children have reason to curse you for giving up those rights and prostrating those institutions which your fathers delivered to you. . . . [L]ook well to the characters and qualifications of those you elect and raise to office and places of trust. . . . Think not that your interests will be safe in the hands of the weak and ignorant; or faithfully managed by the impious, the dissolute and the immoral. Think not that men who acknowledge not the providence of God nor regard His laws will be uncorrupt in office, firm in defense of the righteous cause against the oppressor, or resolutly oppose the torrent of iniquity. . . . Watch over your liberties and privileges – civil and religious – with a careful eye.
U.S. pastor Matthias Burnett, in 1803
