If enough concerned Californians — and even people outside of California — get on his case, I believe Big Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom could veto two atrocious, anti-family bills that could pass the Democrat-Party-controlled California State Legislature by the September 12 deadline.
AB 495 broadly permits ANYONE to take custody of and make school decisions and medical decisions for ANY child in California, behind the backs of parents. See more
AB 727 would promote transsexuality to millions of schoolchildren by requiring a pro-“trans” group’s phone number be imprinted upon all student ID cards in grades 7-12 in California “public” schools and at UC, CSU, and community colleges. See more
Stop and realize that Newsom, who’s indeed running for president in 2028, can’t afford to be branded nationally as an anti-parent kook. So please let him know you and your friends oppose these awful bills!
TAKE QUICK ACTION: Urge Gavin Newsom to veto AB 495 and AB 727.
To oppose AB 495, send this suggested message: “Governor Newsom, please veto AB 495. This bad bill is written so broadly, it would allow strangers, using a one-page form, to take physical custody of a child, move that child into their residence, decide the child’s schooling, and decide the child’s medical treatment — without any court oversight, background check, or verification with the child’s parent or legal guardian. Please veto this poorly-drafted bill threatening California parents and their children.”
To oppose AB 727, please send this separate message: “Governor Newsom, please veto AB 727. This invasive bill is not what parents want or children need. Mandating a transgender group’s phone number on student ID cards is inappropriate and offensive. The Trevor Project provides anonymous online forums for adult-child sex via its TrevorSpace chatrooms. AB 727 would drive a wedge between parents and their children — please veto this bad bill.”

The late James Q. Wilson, former professor of government at Harvard University, once said, “It is not money, but the family that is the foundation of public life. As it has become weaker, every structure built upon that foundation has become weaker.” Peter H. Schuck, professor emeritus at Yale Law School, adds, “the family is the essential core of any society, and the steady decline of two-parent households is probably the single most consequential social trend of the half-century.” “As the family goes, so goes America,” Washington Times, March 10, 2021

The planned closure of five Planned Parenthood “clinics” in Northern California is a victory for pre-born babies everywhere.
Because we were all in the womb once. And for you, or me, or anyone to be tortured and killed is murder, which screams to heaven for justice.
So be glad that California’s number one baby-killers — Planned Parenthood – is losing three hundred million dollars of your federal tax money. So they announced they’re closing five abortion clinics in Northern California!
As Life News reported July 25:
California’s Planned Parenthood affiliates, the state’s largest abortion company, have lost $300 million in federal funding following the new federal law that defunds America’s biggest abortion business.
The congressional reconciliation bill, dubbed the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” signed by President Donald Trump earlier this month, prohibits Medicaid reimbursements for nonprofit health clinics that kill babies and receive more than $800,000 in federal funding annually, effectively cutting off federal support for California’s 114 Planned Parenthood clinics.
Planned Parenthood Mar Monte announced the closure of five health centers in Northern California and the Central Coast on Thursday, attributing the decision to federal funding cuts enacted through President Donald Trump’s “Big, Beautiful Bill.” The closures, affecting abortion centers in South San Francisco, Gilroy, Seaside, Merced, and North Highlands, mark a significant victory for pro-life advocates who have long sought to redirect taxpayer dollars away from abortion businesses.
What this means is:
1. Without federal tax dollars, you can expect more of California’s 114 Planned Parenthood abortuaries to close — making surgical abortions rarer in California, thus saving more innocent boys and girls who are literally waiting to be born.
2. Dangerous chemical abortions or abortion pills, which always kill babies but also harms many mothers, will likely increase in California, as the baby-killing Democrat Party politicians try to make abortion “more convenient.”
3. Democrat Party politicians will likely push baby-killing all the more, trampling parental rights, religious freedom, and business owner rights, as they try to kill more pre-born babies (which they never mention but always “justify”).
But none of this is justifiable, because murder cannot be justified, and abortion is murder. Why? Because science proves beyond a reasonable doubt that babies in the womb are human beings, growing since conception.
In California, the most dangerous place for a child is in his or her mother’s womb. Ironically, you’re safer as a convicted murderer on “death row” in San Quentin, where our Democrat-Party-controlled government pays to feed, clothe, and protect convicted murderers, but will also pay an abortionist to literally tear you apart in the God-designed sanctuary of your mother’s womb.
The state’s self-appointed guardian of abortion is the California Supreme Court. In 1981, the state high court redefined the California Constitution’s guarantee of paperwork privacy to mean “abortion,” and redefined “medical care” to include “abortion,” coldly declaring that “the asserted state interest in protecting fetal life cannot constitutionally claim priority over the woman’s fundamental right of procreative choice.”
In other words, no matter a girl or woman’s age, ability to pay, or number of prior abortions, the State of California will spend your taxpayer dollars to kill unwanted, preborn babies. If that wasn’t clear enough, the California Supreme Court, in 1997, struck down the parental consent for abortion law passed by the State Legislature by declaring that it violated the California Constitution’s right to “privacy.” Again, a green light to “privately” murder the smallest human beings!
Because the Liberal Left and the state bureaucracy is trying so hard to hide the truth about the humanity of babies in the womb, you have power when you expose the lie.

For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. The Bible, Psalm 139:13-16

They say you’re the parent, but they strip you of your parental rights.
Of all the evil bills by the ruling Democrats in Sacramento, one of the worst is AB 495, which threatens to eliminate your God-given parental rights if you’re not guarding your children like a hawk or a bear.
Dressed up as a bill purportedly to “provide stability” for children of illegal aliens who are detained by ICE, AB 495 broadly permits ANYONE to take custody of and make school decisions and medical decisions for ANY child in California, behind the backs of parents. This is the most anti-parent bill in California history!
From the July 3, 2025 analysis of the California State Senate Human Services Committee, which, after their pro-illegal-alien analysis, added the reality analyses of the pro-biological-female groups Women Are Real and Our Duty-USA:
Arguments in Opposition:
According to Women Are Real, “This bill creates a dangerous loophole in California law by granting broad authority over children to unvetted adults. It expands the Caregiver’s Authorization Affidavit to include “nonrelative extended family members,” a category so loosely defined it could include almost anyone—a neighbor, a teacher, a mentor, or a casual acquaintance. Once this form is signed, that adult is legally empowered to enroll a child in school and even make medical decisions. This is all without any court oversight, background check, or verification with the child’s parent or legal guardian. In practice, this opens the door to abuse and trafficking. The bill also makes records of joint guardianship appointments confidential, shielding them from public scrutiny and potentially hindering law enforcement and social services from identifying patterns of abuse.”
According to Our Duty-USA, “AB 495 is a child trafficker’s and kidnapper’s dream bill. There are over 300,000 unaccounted children who have crossed the border. There are countless other children of parents who have failed to pay their debts to the criminals assisting them to get into the United States. Sex-trafficking has replaced drugs as the most lucrative criminal enterprise. And California is once again a leader in harms to children. AB 495 permits ANYONE to claim guardianship over a child if the child’s parents cannot be found or if a person is 18 years or older claims that the parent cannot be found. It is all done legally with a one-page affidavit, and a stranger can claim a child for themselves, control the child’s schooling, medical procedures and of course, move the child into his home.”
That one-page form is found right in AB 495 in Section 5, which says anyone can declare he or she is a “nonrelative extended family member,” who further declares he or she is “unable to contact the parent(s) or other person(s) having legal custody of the minor at this time.”
Upon presentation of a copy of this signed form to a school office or medical facility, the self-declared “nonrelative extended family member” is recognized as having “a sufficient basis for a determination of residency of the minor, without the requirement of a guardianship or other custody order,” and the “affidavit shall confer the same rights to authorize medical care and dental care for the minor that are given to guardians under Section 2353 of the Probate Code. The medical care authorized for a relative or nonrelative extended family member caregiver may include mental health treatment subject to the limitations of Section 2356 of the Probate Code.”
Now you know how the left-wing dream of AB 495 is a California parent’s nightmare. And sadly, this horrible bill threatening to rip children from their parents by putting them into the hands of a predator, a mutilator, or worse, is expected to pass the loony, Democrat-Party-controlled State Legislature. What’s more, AB 495 already has the support of two “Republicans,” Juan Alanis of Stanislaus County and Greg Wallis of the Greater Palm Springs Area, who voted yes on AB 495 on June 3 on the Assembly floor.
However, because termed-out Democrat Party Governor Gavin Newsom is actively running for U.S. President, he’s worth lobbying, because he would be exceedingly stupid to sign AB 495, a bill allowing children to be stolen from their parents by strangers filling out a one-page form.
TAKE QUICK ACTION: Urge Gavin Newsom, who’s indeed running for president in 2028, to veto AB 495.
Send this suggested message: “Governor Newsom, please veto AB 495. There needs to be a huge outcry about this evil bill permitting the legal kidnapping of vulnerable children. Please share this statewide alert with others!
