Fact-checking Gavin Newsom

Saturday, March 8, 2025, 10:51 am | Randy Thomasson

Is Gavin Newsom lying — again? Probably, maybe, and definitely.

1. CLAIM: On March 1, he declared he was fast-tracking “forest management” to prevent wildfires.

FACT: But Newsom has made window-dressing announcements like this before, such as touting that he “took similar action in March 2019 to expedite forest management projects.” But as liberal Capitol Public Radio reported in 2021: “Overall, California’s response has faltered under Newsom. After an initial jump during his first year in office, data obtained by CapRadio and NPR’s California Newsroom show Cal Fire’s fuel reduction output dropped by half in 2020, to levels below Gov. Jerry Brown’s final year in office. At the same time, Newsom slashed roughly $150 million from Cal Fire’s wildfire prevention budget.”

Does California have a governor or not? If any more wildfires incinerate neighborhoods or communities, know this — it’s Newsom’s fault.

2. CLAIM: On March 3, Newsom ordered state employees to be in the office for “a default minimum of four in-person days per work week.”

FACT: Unfortunately, this order isn’t effective until the summer. Yet Newsom’s own supporters are already crying foul. The largest state employee union (SEIU Local 1000) has filed an “unfair practice charge” with the state’s Public Employment Relations Board. Another government union, the California Association of State Attorney and Administrative Law Judges, also opposes “returning to the office.” If Newsom doesn’t hold union bosses and bureaucrats accountable, his words were mere talk (remember he’s mocked DOGE). We’ll find out July 1.

3. CLAIM: On March 6, Gavin Newsom said it’s “deeply unfair” for “trans” athletes to be in girls’ and women’s sports. This was during a discussion with moral conservative Charlie Kirk on Newsom’s new “This is Gavin Newsom” podcast.

FACT: Yet, at the same time, Newsom didn’t commit to doing anything to stop biological boys from invading girls’ sports. As governor, Newsom has signed many bills to promote transsexuality in classrooms, school restrooms, teacher training, foster homes, libraries, department stores, hospitals, insurance policies, courts, and in other states (Children, come to California for your secret, taxpayer-funded “sex change”). Newsom is pro-”trans” all the way. See his bill signings in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.

ALERT: Urge U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate child-mutilating California hospitals

Sunday, February 9, 2025, 1:43 pm | Randy Thomasson
Please encourage the Trump Administration to protect children from harm in California!

Take 2 minutes to leave your message for new U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi.
Tell her:

Please investigate these child-maiming hospitals for using federal funds, misleading the public, punishing whistleblowers, and mutilating kidnapped kids from other states.

Investigate Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, which is defying President Trump’s January 28 order to protect children from chemical and surgical mutilation.

And investigate Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, which is continuing to maim current patients who are children. Protect children — send in your investigators now!

☎️ CALL the U.S. Dept. of Justice Comment Line 202-353-1555

📧 EMAIL: On the web form: (select “Other” as topic, and type “Please investigate these California hospitals that continue to mutilate children,” then paste in our suggested message or type your own)

INSIGHT:

With President Trump’s Jan. 28 order “Protecting Children from Chemical and Surgical Mutilation,” his team has been commissioned to expose violators of federal laws and policies.

Meanwhile, pro-child-mutilation CA AG Rob Bonta and other Democrat Party state AG went to court to keep federal funds subsidizing child-mutilation surgeries and procedures, which they’ve “won,” for now:

Feb. 5 news release of Democrat Party California Attorney General Rob Bonta:

“California Attorney General Rob Bonta today reminded California hospitals and federally-funded healthcare providers of their ongoing obligation under California anti-discrimination law to provide gender affirming care …

“Attorney General Bonta also issued a letter putting Children’s Hospital Los Angeles on notice of its obligations under state anti-discrimination law, following reports that the hospital is pausing the initiation of hormonal therapies for all gender affirming care patients under the age of 19 and gender-affirming surgeries on minors …

“On January 28, 2025, Attorney General Bonta, along with 22 other state attorneys general, filed suit in federal district court to halt the federal government’s illegal efforts to freeze such federal funding. The court issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) on January 31, 2025, prohibiting federal agencies from taking any action that would ‘pause, freeze, block, cancel or terminate’ such funding.”

See President Trump’s Jan. 28 executive order declaring what his administration and the federal government would do to prevent “sex-change” operations for children, stating: “It is the policy of the United States that it will not fund, sponsor, promote, assist, or support the so-called “transition” of a child from one sex to another, and it will rigorously enforce all laws that prohibit or limit these destructive and life-altering procedures.”

Jan. 28 statement of CHLA: “At this time, CHLA is pausing the initiation of hormonal therapies for all gender affirming care patients under the age of 19 and maintaining the existing pause on gender-affirming surgeries on minors. Current patients already receiving treatment will continue with their course of care.”

Feb. 8 news coverage of Rady Hospital: Rady Children’s Hospital confirmed this week that its Center for Gender-Affirming Care “is operating without changes,” following an executive order issued last month by President Trump that has caused several similar programs across the nation to pause operations. In a short statement, San Diego County’s only pediatric medical center said that for now, at least, the program will continue as “we take the necessary time to fully review the details of the order, its timeline, and its potential impact on our system.”

“Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.”

The Bible and illegal aliens

Saturday, February 1, 2025, 9:21 am | Randy Thomasson

Does God approve of deporting illegal aliens?

At least fifteen hundred American troops have been deployed to the U.S. border in San Diego County. Their goal is to capture and deport one hundred thousand illegals.

See the deportations on the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security Twitter/X page.

This is worth supporting, because Creator God supports it. Now liberals like to say, “Welcome the stranger,” and take Scripture out of context. But it’s clear from word definitions that the Bible recognizes only two types of foreigners: permitted guests and invaders.

To hold otherwise is against history, against evidence, and against the Word of God. Because there’s archeological evidence that ancient Israel and Egypt both enforced borders and required permits of resident aliens.

As Bible Hub explains: An ancient boundary stone, often referred to in biblical texts, is a physical marker used to delineate property lines and territorial borders. These stones were crucial in maintaining order and justice within the agrarian societies of the ancient Near East, including Israel. They served as a testament to the rightful ownership and inheritance of land, which was a significant aspect of God’s covenant with His people.

“Who Is The Stranger?” is an excellent article by former Arizona state senator Karen Johnson. It explains how illegal aliens are against the Bible’s commands about foreigners — because all foreigners needed permission.

What’s more, consider these Bible verses commanding everyone to honor boundary stones:

“You shall not remove your neighbor’s landmark, which the men of old have set, in your inheritance which you will inherit in the land that the LORD your God is giving you to possess.” (Deuteronomy 19:14)

“‘Cursed is the one who moves his neighbor’s landmark.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!'” (Deuteronomy 27:17)

“Some remove landmarks; They seize flocks violently and feed on them;”
(Job 24:2)

Do not remove the ancient landmark Which your fathers have set. (Proverbs 22:28)

Do not remove the ancient landmark, Nor enter the fields of the fatherless;” (Proverbs 23:10)

“The princes of Judah are like those who remove a landmark; I will pour out My wrath on them like water.” (Hosea 5:10)

And it wasn’t just ancient Israel, with the Old Testament. Non-Jewish nations also had strict boundaries:

In Ancient Egypt

In the Babylonian Empire

In the Roman Empire, including this Rome city boundary marker

So, if you’re a person of faith, you should oppose illegal immigration. But if you’re not, you still have several reasons to oppose the invasion of illegals. For they increase crime and the cost of living, and steal American culture and language away.

“Why are we helping the entire Third World? We have a limit to that.
There’s a limit to everything. And so you have to establish limits to this situation as well.”
