Are pro-family groups afraid of GOP governors?

It’s a fact that homosexual “marriages” are happening in three dozen states, many during the watch of Republican governors. Because that’s what these professing “conservative”/”pro-family”/”constitutional” Republican chief executives are doing — watching and allowing children to be indoctrinated with unnatural, unhealthy, unbiblical, and tyrannical “marriages.”

I don’t expect any defense of real marriage from Democrat governors, who are virtually locked into the delusion of homosexual “marriages.” But Republican governors who say they believe in man-woman marriage — well, that’s an entirely different story with different expectations.

Governors have the duty and power to defend marriage in their states

You see, each governor pledges themselves to “support and defend” the plain words written in their state constitution, including the definition of marriage “for a man and a woman.” Governors raise their right hand and publicly promise to “faithfully execute” (or implement) these written laws!

What’s more, governors are commanded by their state constitutions to enforce the written laws.

Each governor is also authorized to call out his/her state’s militia or national guard to enforce written laws and maintain public order against foreign and domestic enemies.

And each governor has an administration that serves his/her pleasure that is in charge of state marriage forms (licenses and applications) that county clerks use.

Constitutional governors will take action, not merely go to court

Given these facts, it is state governors that are allowing homosexual “marriages.” And it’s not good enough for governors to merely protest by appealing to a higher court the unconstitutional decisions of judicial activists.

No, governors who are loyal to the written constitution of their state and of our nation must take action — instead of making excuses that they must “follow the law.” That is both a fallacy and a misnomer. The law is written in the constitution and was put there by the People or the People’s representatives. The law is not what is dreamt up by judges, which is only their opinion and is definitely not “the law.”

Pro-family organizations must lobby Republican governors now

So where does this leave us? America is in a constitutional crisis against forces of tyranny and immorality. It is high time for the moral majority to rise up. And it’s imperative that pro-family organizations take bold action now to lobby Republican governors.

Realize that in the last 12 months, unconstitutional judges have tyrannically opined that homosexual “marriages” must be publicly honored in a number of states: Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

In the midst of this severe crisis, SaveCalifornia.com issued our December 2 alert urging calls to Republican governors in pro-man-woman-marriage states.

Yet we have not seen similar “lobby the Republican governors” alerts from other pro-family organizations, neither at the state nor national level. This is unacceptable. For if pro-family organizations won’t urge “pro-family” governors to defend real marriage, who will? (And no, appealing a bad judge’s decision is not “all” a governor can do.)

Please contact as many national pro-family organizations as you can
–as well as the state-based pro-family groups in the above threatened states — and urge them to “Lobby Republican governors to not permit unconstitutional homosexual ‘marriages’ on their watch.”

Pro-family voters place conservative governors into office. Don’t these “pro-family” governors owe their allegiance to God, the written constitution, the voters, and to the pro-family groups that represent pro-family voters?

Now is the time for you to speak out so that pro-family organizations will speak out and lobby professing pro-family governors to use their own executive powers, not merely legal appeals, to defend the constitution and the People and preserve real marriage for one man and one woman.

“A governor’s oath is to defend the Constitution of both the federal government and his own state. Defending something by definition means protecting it when it is under attack, regardless of where that attack comes from — even if the attack comes from a federal judge, a federal court, or the Supreme Court itself. Governors have been meekly capitulating to judicial tyranny, one after the other, and timidly abandoning their posts.”

5 reasons to have practical hope

Despair Or Hope Computer Keys Showing Hopeful or Hopeless

No matter what happens in the government, courts, culture, or elections, don’t despair!

Each day, SaveCalifornia.com knows our purpose — on every issue, to stand tall and true for all that is good and right in God’s sight, and to help others do their part alongside us – no matter the opposition or the outcome.

If you’re a pro-family citizen, this is part of your purpose too. Because shining the light of Truth is what we are each called to do.

But if you’re discouraged about the just-concluded election, here’s some good news to lift you up. Please keep looking up and be responsible to love God and love people alongside SaveCalifornia.com, so that together we will persevere and bear more fruit in the days to come.

Here are 3 current events and 2 timeless truths to give you hope:

1. Supreme Court likely to take up marriage licenses and states’ rights
This week’s pro-real-marriage, pro-states-rights ruling from a federal appeals court in Ohio makes it highly likely that the U.S. Supreme Court will take this and other cases to resolve the legal conflict. This could result in the upholding of state constitutional amendments reserving marriage licenses for one man and one woman, including California’s Proposition 8. Read more

2. Supreme Court will hear new ObamaCare challenge
Today’s good news means hope to roll back tyranny. The nation’s high court will take up four separate lawsuits challenging the constitutionality of a key aspect of ObamaCare. At specific issue is whether it is legal for the federal government to create a state-based “exchange” instead of abiding by the law which specifies only states themselves may establish these “exchanges.” Read more

3. California Democrats denied supermajority
Although the Republican leadership seems to eschew moral and social issues now, on Election Day we saw the net increase of three Republican seats in the Assembly and 1 more seat in the state Senate, which means Republicans have stopped the Democrats from regaining a 2/3rds supermajority that could directly raise taxes on families. Read more

4. Union members don’t have to support immoral candidates
If you’re disgusted with government unions and private unions supporting immoral candidates and issues, the most important things pro-family union members can do is resign from the union and stop believing the lie that union membership is a condition of employment. Find out how

5. If you feel like a loser, change your mind to that of a winner
Teddy Roosevelt was a sickly child who probably felt like a loser. But due to the leadership and challenge of his father, young Theodore, Jr. build up his body and became one of the most energetic public and moral men in the modern history. Read about his transformation

My brothers and sisters, consider it nothing but joy when you fall into all sorts of trials, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect effect, so that you will be perfect and complete, not deficient in anything.

What was gained by our Rose Parade protest

Monday, January 6, 2014, 12:46 pm | Randy Thomasson

First same sex couple to get married in the Rose Parade on the AIDS Healthcare Foundation float in Pasadena, California

Victory: ABC & NBC exclude “gay wedding” from Rose Parade coverage

The power of determination, social media, family-friendly media, mainstream media, and word of mouth by caring individuals, along with SaveCalifornia.com’s efforts and the media we helped generate, had a tremendous impact for good on the days leading up to January 1.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in protesting the pro-homosexuality Rose Parade featuring two male practitioners of homosexuality getting “married” as a role model for watching children. (See why this behavior is unnatural, unhealthy, unbiblical, and tyrannical.)

Even though the false, same-sex “wedding” took place on worldwide TV, with parade officials digging in their heels against moral values and the natural family, the protest against it was a still a significant victory. Here’s why:

1. Many children were protected from being forced to watch and see as good two men cozying up in a “gay wedding” atop an AIDS float. As word spread, parents were empowered to intervene. They made a decision to boycott watching the parade, and many complained to parade organizers and sponsors. These principled parents rescued their boys and girls from ‘LGBT’ anti-family activists invading a family event with their immoral agenda. And guess what, ABC and NBC seems to have gotten the message because they did not show the “live gay wedding” in their televised parade coverage!

2. More people now realize there is an in-your-face assault upon not just marriage, but upon children and families and wholesome, moral values. More Californians and Americans stepped out of silence to express their disgust by contacting the Rose Parade and pro-homosexuality sponsors such as Honda and Coca-Cola, and by sharing to thousands of people our boycott action steps through email, Facebook, Twitter, and more. At our urging, they chose not to watch the parade. And they stepped up to the plate with gusto! I now expect to see our pro-family movement do more activism in the wake of this good protest and in the face of blatant intolerance of moral values.

karengrube3. Once again, it’s been proven that one person can make a difference. Her name is Karen Grube, a vocal pro-family citizen from San Diego. She heard about the “live gay wedding” float — and, in faith, took quick action to launch a Facebook page, “Boycott the 2014 Rose Parade.” Over several days the page grew, media heard about it, and Karen did her first interview with the Pasadena Star-News and the story went coast to coast!

4. SaveCalifornia.com’s Campaign for Children and Families was successful adding our strength and voice to what Karen started. We interviewed with 3 radio stations in Los Angeles and on TV in Sacramento and in other pro-family and secular media. Our combined call to boycott to protect children from bad role models reached many people – the truth was heard!

5. Everyone who participated in the boycott grew in some way. Those who denied themselves their annual pleasure of the Rose Parade improved their moral character. I think about Jesus Christ saying, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” (Matthew 16:24 NKJV).  As hard as it is, denying a pleasure for a greater good is a victory not only for adults, but for children whose eyes were protected from these bad role models.

6. Real, man-woman marriage was honored. The media heard from pro-family citizens, Karen Grube, and SaveCalifornia.com and others that many people know marriage is still only for one man and one woman, despite what corrupt judges did to Prop. 8. And we and this true-to-God fact are not going away!

7. The Rose Parade boycott was so much bigger than one day of standing publicly and letting our voices for real marriage, morality, and the protection of children to be heard. No, it was the New Year’s kick-off to kindle up the fires of moral activism and keep them burning this election year. My recommendation? Get used to taking action, but now direct your energies toward getting good candidates elected in the 2014 elections. Simply research online which candidates represent your values and who also have a chance to win, and call them to ask how you can volunteer.

When you think deeply about life, you realize that Truth must never go silent. Creator God always wants the truth to be told, because Truth is Love, when spoken gently to the humble and tough to the prideful. If we are to have any practical hope for the future, children must be protected from harm and trained in righteous character. We must all do what’s right in God’s sight. The 2014 Rose Parade protest can be your down-payment that sparks you to be “zealous for good works” in this important election year. It’s your invitation to do significant things for the love of God and people He created.

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
