‘Suspense’ over which awful Democrat bills will die in committee

Saturday, August 26, 2023, 9:21 am | Randy Thomasson
Will some downright devilish bills die this year — because of Gavin Newsom himself?

I’m asking the question because California’s uberliberal Democrat governor IS running for president (he’s waiting for the White House Occupant to drop out).
And, while relying on Americans’ short-term political memories, Newsom doesn’t want his opponents to seize upon one or more new radically-bad bills that he’s signed.

This might explain why Newsom’s Department of Finance is openly opposing several truly awful bills in the Legislature’s fiscal committees. And as a result, the Senate’s and Assembly’s Appropriations committees have sent a raft of radical Democrat bills that cost money to the “suspense file,” where these bills might quietly die and not go to Newsom.

These bills are on “suspense” because they cost money the State does not have (remember the Newsom administration has caused a $31.5 BILLION state budget deficit by driving some of the wealthiest Californians out of state).

Among the costly bills placed on “suspense” since the Legislature’s Aug. 14 return:

AB 5 forcing public-school employees into “LGBTQ cultural competency training”

AB 443 discriminating against moral/religious police officers and officer candidates

AB 659 pushing harmful Gardasil jabs upon junior highers and college students

AB 576 funding all Medi-Cal chemical abortions (on “suspense” since July 10)

AB 1078 taking away local control of school boards to make curriculum decisions

SB 58 promoting a raft of “hallucinogenic substances” as “recreational drugs”

SB 274 eliminating suspensions/expulsions of willfully defiant teens (grades 9-12)

SB 345 making California even more pro-abortion and pro-“sex changes” than ever

SB 407 punishing moral foster parents who don’t support “LGBTQIA+”

SB 541 requiring “internal and external condoms” be available in grades 9-12

SB 596 empowering liberal school boards to arrest “disorderly” parents at meetings

SB 729 requiring insurance to pay for artificial insemination of “gays” and “trans”

SB 760 forcing government schools, grades 1-12, to have an “all-gender restroom”

Now, any of these bills could escape committee by the approaching Sept. 1 deadline if the Appropriations Committee chairs in the Senate or Assembly want to dare Newsom to sign them. We won’t know after that day.

Yet it’s clear to me that Newsom’s huge budget shortfall and the fact that he’s running for president have created a “perfect storm” for some anti-family bills with price tags to fail.

That they may successfully do evil with both hands—
The prince asks for gifts,
The judge seeks a bribe,
And the great man utters his evil desire;
So they scheme together.

A screaming child is an untrained child

Thursday, August 3, 2023, 1:27 pm | Randy Thomasson

Are you tired of hearing squalling, screaming kids throwing tantrums?

Temper tantrums that happen more than once are not “natural” or a “phase.” Now, temper tantrums persist because of parents who refuse to take authority and discipline their children for rebellion.

The Word of God in Proverbs 13:24 tells us: He who spares his rod hates his son, But he who loves him disciplines him promptly.

The problem is worldly parents not taking authority over their children. You can’t reason with a young child. But temporarily pain for blatant rebellion trains younger children to have self-control and respect for authority.

As renowned Christian child psychology expert Dr. James Dobson has written in his 1978 classic, The Strong-Willed Child, from which his child disciplining tips have been adapted into the 1986 pocketbook, Temper Your Child’s Tantrums:

“Corporal punishment in the hands of a loving parent…is a teaching tool by which harmful behavior is inhibited.”

“A spanking is to be reserved for use in response to willful defiance, whenever it occurs.”

“If punishment doesn’t influence human behavior, then why is the issuance of speeding tickets by police so effective in controlling traffic on a busy street? Why, then, do homeowners rush to get their tax payments in the mail to avoid a penalty for being late? If punishment has no power, why does a well-deserved spanking often turn a sullen little troublemaker into a sweet and loving angel?”

“A child is fully capable of discerning whether his parent is conveying love or hatred. This is why the youngster who knows he deserves a spanking appears almost relieved when it finally comes. Rather than being insulted by the discipline, he understands its purpose and appreciates the control it gives him over his own impulses.”

If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

Dems and RINOs put marriage anarchy on the 2024 ballot

Thursday, July 13, 2023, 1:34 pm | Randy Thomasson

It’s truly evil and harmful to children and society that Thursday morning on July 13th, the Democrat-controlled California Senate passed a legally powerful, radical, and completely subjective definition of “marriage,” which, if foolish voters agree to add it to the State Constitution, would be dreadful.

Thank you for everyone who called. You did your job, SaveCalifornia.com fought hard, but the Senate Democrats were wicked and the Senate Republicans did not fight for you.

On the California State Senate floor, 13 Democrats spoke for, and only 1 Republican (Brian Dahle) spoke weakly against, ACA 5.

If approved by a majority of California voters, it would deceptively insert 8 very broad, non-specific words, “The right to marry is a fundamental right,” into the California State Constitution.

Yet ACA 5 has no definitions of marriage or spouse, and no limit on spouses. Placing marriage subjectivity into the California State Constitution and calling it a fundamental rightabove all other marriage-regulating statutes and every other marriage standard (such as number of persons in the marriage, minimum age to be a spouse, prohibitions against incestuous marriages, the assumption that a spouse be a person, etc.) renders current marriage laws unapplicable. ACA 5 powerfully erases all marriage “limitations” and boundaries!

Yet, despite having our analysis, not one Republican state senator voted no or exposed ACA 5’s radical legal effect – the very broad and subjective “right to marry,” with NO definitions, NO standards, and NO boundaries.

Meanwhile, most of the Democrats speaking in favor of ACA 5 were open homosexuals, who childishly said a vote against ACA 5 was a vote to hate them personally. Especially disgusting were the Democrat senators who stood and spoke to either reject or redefine Christianity as “justification” for this radical, anti-family, immoral bill.

And don’t forget that, on June 26 in the lower house, the California State Assembly, 58 Democrats and 9 Republicans voted for this monstrosity. The Republicans were Juan Alanis, Phillip Chen, Laurie Davies, Diane Dixon, Bill Essayli, Josh Hoover, Devon Mathis, Marie Waldron, and Greg Wallis.

ACA 5 will go on the November 2024 ballot as a proposed state constitutional amendment. Today, please share this with your friends so reasonable Californians can plan now to vote NO next year. Let’s unite against polygamy, “child marriages,” incestuous “marriages,” and people-object “marriages”!

And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”
Jesus Christ, Savior of the world and God in the flesh, in Matthew 19:4-6
