You can still resist a Suicide State

The godless media that doesn’t investigate corrupt government or bad bills is fawning over Jerry Brown for signing the suicide promotion bill.

They think ABX2-15 gives them the choice when to die. But the fact is, this terrible bill allows pro-suicide forces in the government, insurance companies, and hospitals to steer sick, elderly, uninformed, and confused people to “agree” to suicide because the powers that be see them as cheaper dead. The bill does not prevent this money-motivated pressure.

Since Pandora’s Box has been opened, expect this to happen in many families, including church families. Elder abuse is already a huge problem in America. Under the California bill, a legal heir is permitted to be part of the request for the suicide pill, there’s no witness at death, no requirement to self-administer the lethal drug (someone else could do it to you), forgery is functionally permitted of a final attestation form, a false cause of death must go on the death certificate, and there’s no prosecution because nothing can be called “homicide” or “elder abuse” even if the evidence says otherwise. See how this “assisted suicide” bill sets up weak and vulnerable Californians to be killed off for money?

Consider the current law’s strong deterrent against pressuring or “assisting” someone to commit suicide. One of the big reasons for this law is to prevent deceitful murders that perpetrators call mere suicides!

California Penal Code Section 401: Every person who deliberately aids, or advises, or encourages another to commit suicide, is guilty of a felony.

How will this play out? Stop and think about how the pronouncement “it’s terminal” depresses a patient. And consider that 12 million Americans are misdiagnosed ever year in our country.

And the terrible thing, under ABX2-15, a doctor can say you’re “terminal” without factoring in medical-establishment treatments to extend your life and certainly without talking about natural-medicine cures that can heal you. If you think you’re a “burden” on family, friends, and caretakers, all the better for the suicide agenda. In Oregon, 40% of those committing “assisted suicide” reported one of their top “end-of-life concerns” was that they were a “burden on family, friends/caregivers.”

And realize that this “assisted suicide” law isn’t just for people who are “dying,” but for people who are “eligible.” This includes an 18-year-old with Type 1 diabetes who is insulin dependent. Because in Oregon, a “terminal” label doesn’t take into account any treatment. How’s that for informed consent? Because of the broad eligibility under ABX2-15, “assisted suicide” can cut short the lives of people who would otherwise have years, even decades, to live.

As I’ve said, I’ll say again — concerned families should make plans now to never allow sick family members to be alone in the hospital, and to rethink whether convalescent homes and hospices are safer elsewhere, in states that don’t promote suicide, such as Nevada and Arizona.

However, what’s immediately needed is a lawsuit to strike down ABX2-15 for violating the California Constitution’s requirement that extraordinary legislative session bills stick to the subject and don’t deviate from the governor’s proclamation, which in this case, was Medi-Cal funding, and not suicide in any way, shape, or form.

However, none of these men committed suicide. Solomon learned to “fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind” (Ecclesiastes 12:13). Elijah was comforted by an angel, allowed to rest, and given a new commission. Jonah received admonition and rebuke from God. Paul learned that, although the pressure he faced was beyond his ability to endure, the Lord can bear all things: “This happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead” (2 Corinthians 1:9).

No surrender on marriage or homosexuality

After doing TV, radio, and newspaper interviews blasting the U.S. Supreme Court’s unconstitutional 5-4 opinion attacking marriage and states’ rights, I took a photo of the rainbow flag being draped from the State Capitol by Democrat homosexual activists (see below), and went back to my office to consider what to write you.

And I want to remind you of something. No matter what any judge or politician or law or poll says, marriage has been, is, and forever will be for a man and a woman. Because homosexual “marriages” are counterfeit and false.

Consider these self-evident truths:

1. You’re born either male or female, as determined by chromosomes (a male inherits a Y chromosome from his father, but a female does not).

2. You need something from a man and something from a woman to conceive a baby through the miracle of procreation.

3. A man and a woman fit together perfectly and healthily (like a plumber knows there are male and female pipe fittings).

4. The only human pair that can achieve coitus are a man and a woman.

5. Children do best inside and out with a married father and mother under the same roof.

Bottom line, if you don’t have a man and a woman, you don’t have marriage. I’m going to keep saying this self-evident truth and I encourage you to do the same.

What’s more, on a legal level, the U.S. Supreme Court’s opinion by a bare minimum of judicial activists on the bench is simply unconstitutional, completely illegitimate, and should be rejected by you, by pastors, by governors, and by everyone who knows that “the law” is what’s written in our Constitution, according to the original intent of its drafters. We each need to explain this to others to help them stop thinking that judges make the law — not in a republic they don’t!

1. Marriage licenses and regulation are not in the United States Constitution, are therefore the jurisdiction of voters in individual states (9th and 10th Amendments; Article IV, Section 4).

2. Article IV, Section 4 guarantees to every state “a republican form of government” — meaning 1) no monarchy and 2) no lawless mob rule, but a government of written laws representing the will of the people, who are sovereign. State constitutions represent the People’s will on marriage, which the federal judiciary must affirm. 3. The 10th Amendment explicitly says powers that don’t belong to the federal government, or what the Constitution does not prohibit among the states, are state powers. Therefore, marriage is under the states’ jurisdiction.

4. The 14th Amendment is one of three post-Civil War amendments and was about race — giving black former slaves the same legal rights of white freemen — not about marriage. The Amendment applied to the states what was already a federal right enshrined in the 5th Amendment — that no one should be killed (deprived of life), imprisoned or enslaved (deprived of liberty), or deprived of their property without a court order (due process of law). Further, the Equal Protection Clause in no way requires the recognition of same-sex “marriages” because homosexual couples are not the same as heterosexual couples. They cannot have a conjugal union that produces children, and one of the primary purposes of marriage is to bind together fathers and mothers for the benefit of the children they bring into the world.

Let Jesus’ resurrection give you confidence

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is one of the most important events in history. It ranks right up there with the Creation and Jesus’ death on the Cross. And the Resurrection should give great confidence to true believers.

Consider that when Jesus died on the Cross in 30 A.D. to provide one-of-a-kind substitutionary atonement for believers’ sins, His disciples were afraid, sad, and scattered. They didn’t understand. Yet upon seeing the overwhelming evidence of Jesus’ amazing, physical resurrection, they became confident, glad, and united.

For Jesus’ resurrection confirmed that He was the God-Man, who had the ability to identify with (thus take the place of) sinful humans. And it convincingly demonstrated that He, as the One Who had created all things (John 1:3), had divine authority to forgive sins past, present, and future for all who confess and repent of their sins, ask for and receive Jesus’ forgiveness, and submit to Him as the new King of their lives.

Upon seeing that Jesus has resurrected Himself, just as He said He would, the formerly scared, hopeless, and defeated disciples were transformed in their minds, hearts, and souls. They now knew their identity and purpose. They now knew the meaning of life. And they knew the source of joy. And get this — they were willing to not only die for Jesus, but to live for Him and to suffer for Him as they produced great fruit, saw many lives changed, and turned their culture upside down.

Similarly, every believer today, who sincerely entrusts himself or herself to Jesus, should be glad and hopeful, not morose and hopeless. If you, like His disciples, will gaze at the resurrected Jesus, you’ll not only realize He is Who He said He was, and how much He loves you, but you’ll discover your exciting and fulfilling Reason for being, living, and working!

Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, “Peace to you.” But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed they had seen a spirit. And He said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts? Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.”

When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet. But while they still did not believe for joy, and marveled, He said to them, “Have you any food here?” So they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish and some honeycomb. And He took it and ate in their presence. Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.
