Thank you to you and all who followed SaveCalifornia.com by participating with our straightforward, principled message of “kill the bill.” You are a steadfast pro-family advocate who stayed true, when others faltered.
The hard lesson of AB 659, the tyrannical Gardasil bill, passing its first committee after being successfully stalled for two whole months, is never amend a bad bill.
“Never amend a bad bill” has been a proven rule for family-values activists for decades. Yet the awful AB 659 passed its first important hurdle April 18 because too many ignored this important ethic. Because when a bad bill is in trouble, amending it make it easier for the bad bill to pass.
The big mistake that helped AB 659 pass committee was the “Freedom Angels” (Tara Thornton and Denise Aguilar) actually made a deal to remove their opposition when the Democrat bill author replaced mandatory-shot language with deceptive, threatening, coercive language, reading, “it is the public policy of the state” that students “are expected” to receive Gardasil shots before advancing to 8th grade or enrolling in college.
Sadly, the bill author had a whole week to tell the wavering Democrats on the committee the “mandate” and the opposition had been “removed.”
As Aguilar said on her April 18 Instagram, “Freedom Angels was called into the author’s office last week, stating that if the mandate was removed, would Freedom Angels remove our opposition. We agreed to this because we needed to remove the mandate. So that’s why I was not at the podium opposing it. We came to an agreement, if the mandate was removed, then Tara and I would not oppose the bill. So it was like a muzzle on us.”
So what now? The tyrannical, harmful, deceptive AB 659, which is still a functional “mandate,” coercing painful Gardasil jabs upon children in public and private school (including all boys and including church schools) and upon UC, CSU, and community college students up to age 26 now goes to the Assembly Appropriations Committee on its way to the Assembly floor.

I have long advocated against voting for “any Republican.” Because when you compare a liberal Democrat to a liberal Republican, ONLY the “Republican” can destroy the Republican Party from within.
And that’s what’s happening in California, as wrongly-motivated Republican officeholders and leaders partner with evil. Because when one’s motives are money, position, power, and false significance, it’s all too easy be self-centered and “sell out” to the highest bidder.
What is a good Republican?
SaveCalifornia.com reported to you last month about the Republican-majority city council of Huntington Beach no longer flying the “LGBTQIA+ pride” flag. Because their new ordinance only permits government and military flags on city property. This is highly commendable and a role-model for Republican city councils throughout California.
And nationally, it’s encouraging that, so far, 8 states have prohibited or restricted transsexual surgeries or procedures for minors. Florida just joined Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Mississippi, where state legislatures have a Republican majority. Republicans who voted yes are real Republicans!
What is a bad Republican?
Even when Republicans are the minority, they should speak up to sway key Democrat legislators and to educate the public. Yet, sadly, that’s not the M.O. of “Republicans” in Sacramento:
1. Silent Republican assemblymembers: Last year, several high-profile anti-family bills narrowly passed the Assembly floor when zero Republicans spoke to expose them. This was despite their offices receiving expert talking points about these truly awful bills.
2. Freshman Republicans selling out in Sacramento: And here in 2023, of the 8 freshmen Republican assemblymembers, several have already voted against family values. Voting yes on child mutilation and eliminating a parent’s right to know (AB 223) were Republicans Diane Dixon and Bill Essayli, while Republican Kate Sanchez voted no. Voting yes to accuse sincerely-religious law enforcement candidates of “biased conduct” (AB 443), when their social media follows a “hate group” (which Leftists call pro-family organizations in favor of Creator God’s design for marriage, sex, and family) were Republicans Juan Alanis and Tom Lackey. Coauthoring ACA 5 to put “marriage equality” on the ballot was Republican Greg Wallis. So far, half of the new Republicans – the RINOs — are selling out!
3. Anti-family, then “pro-family,” then anti-family: On Sunday, March 12, at the California Republican Party convention, 70% of the delegates voted to fully embrace (permanently charter) the “LGBTQIA+”- agenda “Log Cabin Republicans” (founded in 1977 to advocate for homosexual teachers). Eyewitnesses saw Assemblyman Bill Essayli of Riverside County stand and speak in support of honoring and embracing this anti-family group.
The following day, Monday, March 13, Essayli held a district news conference to publicize his amended bill, AB 1314, to require public schools to inform parents in writing if a child “identifies” as “transgender.” Yet the very next day, Tuesday, March 14, Essayli voted yes in committee for the Democrats’ AB 223 to push aside parents by requiring secrecy for minors seeking a legal change of “gender identity.” So he’s against secret “transitions” at school, but OK with them in court?
By advocating for the “LGBTQIA+” agenda at the GOP convention and in committee, Essayli has shown his true colors. His legislation to notify parents of their child’s “transgender” identity won’t survive a Democrat-run committee, but his vote for secret “transitions” in court will likely pass the Democrat-controlled Legislature. “Republican games” like this are sickening, aren’t they?

Please do your part now to EXPOSE the harmful AB 659, which would FORCE 2-3 doses (jabs) of Gardasil (the “HPV vaccine”) upon every teen in California schools — public and private.
SaveCalifornia.com is already helping blow the whistle on how Gardasil doesn’t reliably prevent cervical cancer, causes a high rate of injuries, and is unnecessary since, in California, 12-year-olds can legally “consent” to the shots.
Because our side has already stopped the injurious and obsolete “Covid vaccine” jab for California schoolchildren, we have a chance to stop the awful Gardasil jab too. |
CALL & ASK YOUR FRIENDS TO CALL
STEP 1: To find your California state assemblymember, enter your voter registration address here. Call your own California state assemblymember in his or her district office. Tell the staffer who answers you live in the district and want the Member to:
“Oppose AB 659. Gardasil doesn’t reliably work and has caused many adverse reactions. Parents don’t want it mandated, HPV cannot be spread at school, and children age 12 can already request Gardasil shots — rendering this bill unnecessary. Don’t prevent teenagers from attending school by supporting this bad bill — oppose AB 659!”
Also please SEND your own assemblymember the evidence of Gardasil harms — use his or her web form to open their eyes!
Come to the State Capitol on Tuesday, March 14 to lobby as a group
STEP 2: Leave anonymous voicemails during non-business hours (safe is to call 7pm to 7am) for members of the Assembly Health Committee, which could hear AB 659 as soon as March 14.
Unless you live in a specific assemblymember’s district, DO NOT identify yourself or provide your location, otherwise your message will be “trashed.” So be strategic. Flood them with calls, saying:
“Oppose AB 659. Parents don’t support this and kids don’t need it. Don’t force teens out of school — stop this Big Pharma bill.”
PHONE NUMBERS AND WHAT TO SAY
This committee has 15 members: 11 Democrats and 4 Republicans. To pass bills requires 8 yes votes.
URGE REPUBLICANS TO SPEAK AND EXPOSE AB 659 IN COMMITTEE Tell them, “You need to raise your microphone and speak to expose the harm of AB 659. Voting is not enough — please speak and fight to stop this bad bill!”

To defeat AB 659, our side needs to pull off at least 4 Democrats:
Tell the Democrats: “Oppose AB 659. Parents don’t want this and kids don’t need it. Don’t force teens out of school. Stop this Bill Pharma bill.”

“Is There Objective Evidence that the Current HPV Vaccination Programs are not Justified?” From the symposium’s conclusion: Q: Is it ethical to put young women at risk of death or a disabling autoimmune disease at a pre-adolescent age for a vaccine that has not yet prevented a single case of cervical cancer, a disease that may develop 20-30 years after exposure to HPV, when the same can be prevented with regular Pap screening which carries no risks? A: We don’t know if it can offer any long-term clinical benefit for a disease that is safely preventable through other methods. WATCH: 4th International Symposium on Vaccines in Germany (April 2016)
