URGENT: Tell Newsom to veto these costly bills

Saturday, September 2, 2023, 9:39 pm | Randy Thomasson
SCROLL DOWN FOR ACTION STEPS

On September 1, the Democrat leaders of the California State Legislature, by their actions, challenged Newsom to sign their most radical, unconstitutional, anti-family bills.

By passing hundreds of bad bills in the appropriations committees, your leftist Democrat “rulers” are saying they don’t care what you think, and they actually believe they can “make” Newsom sign their devilish agenda, like he has before.

But this year is different, since California’s uberliberal Democrat governor IS running for president, with a self-induced $31.5 BILLION state budget deficit hanging over his head. And if Newsom doesn’t balance it, his claim he’s a “fiscal conservative” will disintegrate.
Among the hundreds of bad Democrat bills removed from the “suspense file” and passed in the Senate and Assembly appropriations committees Friday are:

AB 659 pushing harmful Gardasil jabs upon junior highers and college students

AB 5 forcing public-school employees into “LGBTQ cultural competency training”

AB 443 discriminating against moral/religious police officers and office candidates

AB 1078 taking away local control of school boards to make curriculum decisions

AB 576 funding all Medi-Cal chemical abortions. at taxpayer expense

SB 58 promoting a raft of “hallucinogenic substances” as “recreational drugs”

SB 274 eliminating suspensions/expulsions of willfully defiant teens (grades 9-12)

SB 345 forcing new costs on cities/counties for abortion/”LGBTQIA+” agenda

SB 407 punishing religious foster parents who don’t support “LGBTQIA+”

SB 541 requiring “internal and external condoms” be available in grades 9-12

SB 596 empowering school boards to arrest “disorderly” parents at meetings

SB 729 requiring insurance to pay for artificial insemination of gays and trans

SB 760 forcing government schools, grades 1-12, to have an “all-gender restroom”

With immoral Democrats controlling three-fourths of each house of the State Legislature, which of these bills might Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom veto?

There have been signs for months that Newsom is sharpening his veto pen.

In the media, he’s repeatedly mimicked his predecessor, Jerry Brown, saying it would not be “prudent” for the state budget to “imbalanced.”

And on September 1, Newsom’s Department of Finance representative was noticeably absent from the front table of the “suspense file” meeting of the Senate Appropriations Committee, where “Finance” is regularly represented. Was this a boycott by the Newsom Administration after being told to get ready for lots of costly bills on his desk? It’s plausible.

So, this is now a “donkey fight,” where the blatantly bad Democrat legislators are challenging another evil Democrat, Governor Gavin Newsom, who, as long as his presidential hopes are alive, wants to put the brakes on additional spending.

NEW ACTION: Urge Newsom to veto these bad bills. Put on the pressure to remind him these radical bills are unpopular.

1. Call Newsom’s constituent services office, Monday-Friday, 9-5 at 916-445-2841. When a staffer answers, they are a person paid to take your simple message of bills you are supporting or opposing. List all the bills in one phone call, but keep it brief.

2. Use Newsom’s web form to oppose all these bad bills at once.

On this page, here are the steps:
1. Under “What is your request or comment about?”, scroll to and select “Legislation Issues/Concerns”
2. Under “What is the purpose of your message?”, select “Leave a Comment”
3. Click “Next” to go to the next page
4. Under “If applicable, what is your stance on this topic?, click “Con”
5. In the message field, simply write in all caps: VETO THESE COSTLY BILLS, then copy and paste in SaveCalifornia.com one-sentence bill descriptions (from the above list)
6. Click “Next” to go to the next page
7. Enter your first and last name and email address (but not your phone number)
8. Click “Submit”

The California State Legislature will adjourn its 2023 session on September 14; the governor will have until October 14 to sign or veto bills.

It is apparent that, those who appear to wield unparalleled power – and, have a disturbing tendency of abusing this, as a means of sadistically and savagely subjugating their fellow countrymen and women, with abundant impunity – can not stand the heat when the tables are turned against them, and will swiftly head for the hills, whenever they perceive any substantial threat.

Yes, Democrat politicians harm people

SaveCalifornia.com provides this solely for educational purposes
and does not support or oppose candidates for public office.

Do you know why Nevada and Arizona have gone, or are going, Democrat? Because many California Democrats, concerned about sky-high housing costs, scary crime, and bad “public schools,” have left here for there, without considering the cause of the effect.

Yet the cause of their problems was and is the Democrat “rulers” of California. And while former Californians who are still Democrats didn’t stop to think that deeply, you can help concerned Democrats and independents in California to wake up and connect the dots.

What is causing the unprecedented “mandates” and “division” and “shortages” you’re seeing — including high gas prices, “coin shortages,” and hospital nurses being fired?

Because these societal ills didn’t “just happen.” No, each has been caused by political entities, i.e. “the government.” But just who is “the government”?

Ask yourself — where are you seeing the anti-people policies of firing folks who don’t get the so-called “Covid vaccine, punishing health-conscious people for opposing masks and jabs, and paying people not to work? Nearly everywhere Democrat politicians are in control — in California, in other Democrat-run states, in Democrat-controlled companies and colleges, and in policies emanating from Democrat-controlled Washington, D.C.

And if there are any Republicans participating in this institutional evil, they have become “prostitutes” of their Democrat “pimps,” being richly rewarded for their slavish loyalty.

Now think of all of California’s chronic problems: bad public schools, rising crime, destructive wildfires, water mismanagement, unaffordable housing, the homelessness epidemic, high taxes and fees, higher prices on most everything, record-high STDs, providing every magnet for illegal immigrants, sexual anarchy, the legalizing “recreational” drugs, attacking free speech and religious freedom, decreeing hyper-controlling “mandates,” and unscientifically masking children.

Who can you “thank” or blame for all these problems? The Democrat politicians. Remember, Democrats control the California State Legislature — since 1957 in the State Senate and 1959 in the State Assembly.* Everything’s been on their watch for decades.

This is why every “monster fire” on state lands is a Democrat fire, why violent crime is Democrat crime, why too-high housing prices are Democrat prices, and why people losing their jobs and their small businesses last year and this year are the Democrats’ doings.

TAKE ACTION: Share this information with everyone you can. Show them what they get with the Democrat politicians are anti-people policies resulting in widespread misery.

*The exceptions to Democrat control of the California Legislature since the late 1950s was in 1969 to 1970 when Republicans controlled both houses for over a year, and in 1996 when Republicans controlled the Assembly for just one year (in 1995, two “Republicans” became speaker after agreeing to give Democrats control of all the committees).

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice;
But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.

Gavin Newsom’s pretend religion

Thursday, January 10, 2019, 5:41 am | Randy Thomasson

Who does California’s new governor, Gavin Newsom, worship — the God of the Bible or himself?

In these perilous days, I urge you to stand up for what’s good, right, and true, according to what the God of the Bible calls good, right, and true. You’ve got to fight for your standard of truth; otherwise “truth” is up for grabs.

Think with me about California’s new governor. What do you say about someone who…

on national TV calls himself a “practicing Catholic,” saying he believes in the God of the Bible and also believes that the Bible is the Word of God…

…but is also California’s inventor of homosexual “marriages,” and while he recognizes the humanity of babies in the womb, he still wants taxpayers to kill children in the womb?

You call him a deceiver.

Gavin Newsom’s semi-quotation of the Bible in his January 7, 2019 inaugural speech got my attention. California’s uber-liberal governor said these words:

When Jerry last took the oath of office, he reflected on a parable from the Sermon on the Mount. It tells of a foolish man who built his house on sand. A storm washed it away. But a wise man sought a sounder foundation. And when the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on the house he built, it did not fall. “For it was founded upon a rock.” For eight years, California has built a foundation of rock. Our job now is not to rest on that foundation. It is to build our house upon it.

Did you notice that Gavin Newsom never mentioned Jesus Christ as the author of the parable? This is despite Jesus jealously affirming that His sermons were “sayings of Mine” in Matthew 7:24-26. And to claim that this sermon of the Savior of the world applies to California’s “rock” is quite a stretch. If California’s so stable as Newsom implies, why are longtime Californians leaving the state?

What’s really going on is Newsom has rejected God’s Word but pretends that he hasn’t. Perhaps he hopes this “religious speech” will win the hearts of religious Californians. It didn’t for me.

Wikipedia claims and reports the following:

Newsom was baptized and reared in his father’s Roman Catholic faith. He describes himself as an “Irish Catholic rebel […] in some respects, but one that still has tremendous admiration for the Church and very strong faith”. When asked about the current state of the Catholic Church, he said the church was in crisis.[17] Newsom said he stays with the Church because of his “strong connection to a greater purpose, and […] higher being […]” Newsom identifies himself as a practicing Catholic,[92] stating that he has a “strong sense of faith that is perennial: day in and day out”.[17]

So there you have it. Gavin Newsom’s public policies violate God’s word. And Newsom won’t publicly say Jesus or God. Perhaps he doesn’t want to attract the scrutiny of heaven.

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'”
Jesus Christ in Matthew 21-23, right before His Parable of the Two Builders
