10 facts Gavin Newsom is ignoring

Monday, May 11, 2020, 8:35 am | Randy Thomasson

Your self-declared “king” of California doesn’t mind killing off most of California’s economy to make people more dependent and controllable. As public cries go up for fully reopening California, Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom is digging in his heels. And he’s ignoring these 10 facts:

1. Getting sufficient sunlight kills COVID-19 (and lack of Vitamin D is a common denominator among COVID-19 deaths)

2. Also curing COVID-19 are the well-established drugs hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin, which open up the cell membrane, plus the essential mineral zinc, which is the natural infection killer that enters the cell

3. Vaccines aren’t guaranteed to work (the flu vaccine is notoriously ineffective)

4. COVID-19 has a death rate (0.03% of those infected) that’s 3x LOWER than the seasonal flu death rate (0.1%)

5. COVID-19 as a cause of death is being massively padded by hospitals, which get $13,000 for every patient labeled COVID-19 and $39,000 for every COVID-19 patient on a ventilator.

6. The United States has never broadly “shut down” for a virus before

7. Seven states with Republican governors never issued a lockdown order

8. Several other states have already reopened, even those with Democrat governors (such as Montana)

9. A growing number of California counties are reopening despite Newsom’s non-scientific, unnecessary edict (they’re also aware that Newsom’s lockdown is massively depleting their sales-tax revenue)

10. Every day Gavin Newsom’s harmful lockdown continues, his legacy will be more jobs and businesses killed, more families destitute, more addictions to alcohol and drugs, and more domestic abuse and child abuse.

“When I look at the basic tenets that we know of microbiology, and I say, ‘Do we need to still shelter in place?’ Our answer is emphatically no. Do we need businesses to be shut down? Emphatically no. Do we need to test them, and get them back to work? Yes, we do. The secondary effects that we went over — the child abuse, alcoholism, loss of revenue — all these are, in our opinion, a significantly more detrimental thing to society than a virus that has proven similar in nature to the seasonal flu we have every year.”

VIDEO: These honest and brave California physicians say ‘lift the lockdown’

Saturday, April 25, 2020, 9:36 pm | Randy Thomasson

WATCH THIS APRIL 22, 2020 EVIDENCE-, LOGIC-, AND LOVE-BASED MEDIA BRIEFING BY BAKERSFIELD PHYSICIANS DR. DAN ERICKSON AND DR. ARTIN MASSIHI (LENGTH 1:06). THESE HONEST AND BRAVE DOCTORS ARE BEING SLAMMED BY THE MEDICAL ESTABLISHMENT, WHICH DEMANDS AN INDEFINITE, UNIVERSAL LOCKDOWN FOR A VIRUS SIMILAR TO THE SEASONAL FLU

April 27, 2020 update. The hour-long video posted on a news station’s YouTube page has been yanked. Apparently, what is considered news is now decided by YouTube and its parent company, Google. I am linking here to the April 22 news report of the same ABC affiliate in Bakersfield. This 3-minute piece by a reporter who was obviously impressed by the evidence of Dr. Dan Erickson and Dr. Artin Massihi contains some good sound bites. And I’m very glad I took notes (see below) from the doctors’ full media briefing before the anti-free-speech Tech Tyrants yanked it.

April 28, 2020 update: Good news, someone else has posted the physicians’ video on YouTube. Watch it here before it’s yanked again. And we’re happy to have also found the entire video on the website of a different TV station, and have embedded the video code at the top of this post.

You have NOT been given good facts about COVID-19 by the Big Media.

But now, new testing and fatalities data from Stanford University, USC, and the County of Los Angeles show the death rate is much lower than previously predicted and is comparable to the two seasonal flu strains. Yet the COVID-19 death rate is even lower than this latest data reports, since many hospitals are artificially inflating COVID-19 deaths.

Dr. Dan Erickson, M.D. and Dr. Artin Massihi, M.D. are former emergency room physicians. They own Accelerated Urgent Care, which has several clinics in Bakersfield. In Kern County, they are the top tester of COVID-19, conducting 5,000+ tests. Over the last two months, they’ve been intensely studying COVID-19 and those infected with the virus. And these honest, expert doctors conclude that, based on the latest data, the lockdown is not justified and should be immediately lifted.

The physicians’ April 22, 2020 briefing for Bakersfield media was posted on YouTube by KERO Channel 23.

Highlights of this medical briefing:

Of the 5000+ people they’ve tested for COVID-19 in Kern County, 6.45% were positive. Statewide on April 21, there were an estimated 12% of Californians infected, a low 0.03% death rate among those infected, with 96-97% of infected persons completely recovering.

Dr. Erickson stressed several times that with COVID-19 worldwide, he’s seeing “millions of cases; small amount of death.” (Post-briefing note: This trend is also seen in New York state, where new data reported April 23 shows a nearly 14% infection rate, which dramatically reduces the state’s COVID-19 death rate.)

Noting there are 50-60 thousand annual flu deaths in the U.S., and a flu death rate of 0.1%, Dr. Erickson said COVID-19 is “similar in prevalence and death rate to flu.” Looking worldwide at nations that “lock down” and those that don’t [such as Sweden], Dr. Erickson said, “It is not statistically significant whether you lock down or not. So why do we do it?”

What’s more, Dr. Erickson said, “Our immune systems have weakened” from the lockdown.

Dr. Erickson also said:

  • “We also need to put measures in place so economic shutdown like this does not happen again.”
  • “We want to make sure we understand that quarantining the sick is what we do, not quarantining the healthy.”
  • “We need to make sure that if you’re going to dance on someone’s constitutional rights, you better have a good reason. You better have a really good scientific reason, and not just theory.”
  • “The data is showing us it’s time to lift the lockdown.”

Dr. Erickson revealed that most physicians and health officials in California that he’s talked to agree with these facts, but that they’re all waiting for Governor Gavin Newsom to agree.

Dr. Erickson continued, saying:

  • “Coronavirus has shown to be very contagious…but the actual cause of death and the disease cycle is similar to what we’re seeing from the flu, with more of a respiratory component.”
  • “Eventually we treat this like we treat flu, which is, if you have the flu and you’re feeling fevery and body aches, you stay home. If you have coughing or shortness of breath — Covid is more of a respiratory thing — you stay home … This virus is the same [similar to recovering from the flu]. You have Covid, go home; let it resolve, and come back.”
  • “From what we’ve seen right now, it’s time to open back up. The science says it is. The models we have been using from predictions to predict the amount of disease are not accurate. This information [pointing to the latest testing evidence] is accurate. It models the flu. Let’s go back to work. That’s what the data is saying — not models. Data is saying that.”
  • “Big businesses are open, little businesses are not, there’s no science behind that.”

Also speaking was Dr. Artin Massihi, who said social distancing was needed initially, “but now that we have the data, we’re seeing that 96, 97 percent of patients completely recover. And those 4 percent of patients that died have over 90% comorbidities … heart failure, emphysema, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, they’re on immunomodulating medications, they’re immunodeficient, HIV — these are the people that are dying. You get some healthy people who die, but that’s an infinitesimal number — tiny.”

Near the media briefing’s conclusion, Dr. Erickson warned about unscientific public policies. “At what point, who says what’s safe?” he said. “Are you smart enough to know what’s safe for you, or is the government going to tell you what’s safe for you? As soon as they use the word ‘safe,’ that means control: ‘We know what’s safe for you … you’re too dumb to understand disease … you see, we know what’s safe.'”

Finally, Dr. Erickson advised people to not accept government-imposed lockdowns. “They’re going to use this model for different things. We get a bomb threat from China; everybody stay in their homes for 3 months — what? They are using this to see how much freedom can they take from you, and will you roll over and stay in your house — and it’s working.”

We are beginning to see figures on the extent of the epidemic and the faulty figures fed us by all government agencies and the conventional controlled media. From CNBC comes revelations that many, many more people in LA County have been exposed to, and have immunity to COVID than heretofore believed, 55 times in fact. This would drop the mortality rate by 50-fold and suggest that we have way, way overreacted to the outbreak. If these numbers are true, and other reports I’ve posted here suggest the same, the SARS COVID-2 virus literally tore through the population incredibly fast. Even with a quite low mortality rate, the lightning speed hit us fast and gave the ILLUSION of a terrifying horror about to befall us. But with this lightning speed, it strongly suggests that the worst is behind us and that officials overplayed their hand.

California election-year opportunities, Part 1

Thursday, March 5, 2020, 2:53 pm | Randy Thomasson
SaveCalifornia.com provides this solely for educational purposes
and does not support or oppose candidates for public office.

See my March 9, 2020 report on how pro-family conservatives can hold or gain seats in the California State Legislature this election year

First off, I want to thank you for voting, and for anything you did to help other people vote for what’s right in God’s sight.

There were several victories in California’s just-concluded primary election, and real opportunities for California’s general election. In light of this, I want to encourage you to get personally involved in support for a candidate with rock-solid values who can win in November. And I call on every biblical pastor to lead his flock to vote as an exercise of loving King Jesus, loving their neighbors, hating evil, and clinging to what’s good.

Because freedom is not free, and all who claim a relationship with the Savior Jesus Christ must actively promote good in our culture and government. Because love is active, it must enter the public arena. “Abandonment theology” is unbiblical and unChristian!

While the remaining votes are still being counted, here are California election results you should be excited about…

1. California voters rejected $27 BILLION in wasteful new debt that had the faces of the educrats and Governor Gavin Newsom all over it:

The rejection of the government-school establishment’s Proposition 13 on the March 3, 2020 ballot means more Californians “get it” that they can’t trust the same people who have dumbed down our children. It also showed how some liberals and conservatives were confused over the new “Prop. 13,” thinking it had something to do with 1978’s original Proposition 13 property tax protection, so some opposed it for that reason. But we’ll take the win either way, won’t we?

Yet do you realize this was the first defeat of a California statewide “school construction and repair” bond in 18 years? Four times since 2002, California voters have approved what they thought was “free money” to “repair schools,” but which actually locked California families into financial bondage, worse government, and worse schools.

So the voters saying no to this expensive and wasteful bond is historic. It’s also why the Liberal Left (i.e., Democrat politicians, Democrat bureaucrats, Democrat union bosses, Democrat activists, and Democrat donors), which wants you to vote this November to dramatically increase property taxes on commercial property to “increase funding for public schools,” is worried.

2. Pro-family Californians can help take back Congress in 2020:

Since 2018 was the Liberal Left’s high point, when they took control of the U.S. House of Representatives and solidified their super-super-majority in the California Legislature, 2020 can more easily be a rebound for moral, social, and fiscal conservative values, if pro-family conservatives (including biblical pastors) will simply rise up and be counted.

California could help reform the House of Representatives in November. Because there are several California congressional seats that could flip from Democrat to Republican:

CD 7 in south Sacramento County: Could conservative fighter Buzz Patterson oust liberal Democrat Ami Bera? He might come close. In the primary election vote count, Patterson got only 7,000 votes less than Bera. This seat was held by Republican Dan Lungren until the 2012 election.

CD 10 in Stanislaus and San Joaquin counties: Strong conservative Ted Howze has won the chance to try to take out Democrat incumbent Josh Harder in this strategic seat that was held by Republican Jeff Denham until the 2018 election.

CD 16 in Fresno, Madera, and Merced counties: In the heart of the San Joaquin Valley, can conservative Republican Kevin Cookingham oust Democrat incumbent Jim Costa? If this is a popularity contest, the Republican just received more votes than the Democrat.

CD 21 in Fresno, Kings, Tulare, and Kern counties: This Central Valley area that grows much of California’s fruits and vegetables could flip back to Republican David Valadao, who received 7,000 votes more than his Democrat opponent, the current congressman, T.J. Cox. (Valadao held this seat until the 2018 election.)

CD 24 in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties: Pro-family talk-show host and activist Andy Caldwell is one to watch. While 12,000 votes behind the Democrat incumbent, Salud Carbajal, Andy’s quite the fighter and could narrow that gap.

CD 25 in Simi Valley in Ventura County and the Los Angeles County communities of Santa Clarita, Valencia, Newhall, Palmdale, and Lancaster: For pro-family conservative Mike Garcia to trump former congressman, pro-transsexuality Republican Steve Knight, by more than 4,000 votes means November will be a clear choice between Garcia and his Democrat opponent, Christy Smith, who votes like the district’s former Democrat congresswoman, Katie Hill, a bisexuality activist.

CD 39 in Fullerton, La Habra, La Habra Heights, Brea, Buena Park, Anaheim Hills, Placentia, Yorba Linda, Diamond Bar, Chino Hills, Hacienda Heights and Rowland Heights: In this conservative district straddling the border of Los Angeles, Orange, and San Bernardino counties, Republican Young Kim received nearly 7,000 more votes than the incumbent, Democrat Gil Cisneros. If Kim would promise to stop voting part pro-family, part pro-“LGBTQIA+” like she did during her time in the California State Assembly, she could become a pro-family hero who restores this district, which was a Republican mainstay under former Congressman Ed Royce, who did not run in 2018.

CD 41 in the western Riverside County communities of Eastvale, Jurupa Valley, Riverside, Moreno Valley and Perris: Republican Aja Smith is back, and this time her vote totals are a lot closer to that of incumbent Democrat Mark Takano. Until 2012, this seat was held by Republican Jerry Lewis, who retired the same time the district was redrawn.

CD 45 in the Orange County communities of Irvine, Tustin, North Tustin, Villa Park, Orange, Laguna Hills, Lake Forest, and Rancho Santa Margarita: This seatcould flip back Republican, since in this primary election, all the Republican challengers combined received more votes than the very liberal Democrat incumbent, Katie Porter. In the November runoff will be Porter and law-and-order Republican Greg Raths. Until beaten in the 2018 election, this seat was held by Republican Mimi Walters.

CD 48 on the coast of Orange County: This former Republican district now has Democrat Harley Rouda, who, in this primary election, received fewer votes than all his Republican challengers put together. Facing off with Rouda in the general election is Michelle Steel, a stalwart conservative. This congressional seat was held by Republican Dana Rohrabacher until the 2018 election.

CD 49 on the north coast of San Diego County and the southernmost part of Orange County: This is another former Republican district that could swing back Republican, since, in the primary election, Republican Brian Maryott is only 7,000 votes lower than incumbent Democrat Mike Levin. Until the 2018 election, this seat was held by Republican Darrell Issa, who declined to run that year.

There’s more election news and SaveCalifornia.com is still tabulating results. But for now, will you commit to shine your light in this year’s election? Together, let’s pursue victory!
