The real reason for California’s wildfires will burn you up

Wednesday, October 30, 2019, 5:38 pm | Randy Thomasson

SaveCalifornia.com on CBN News 10/30/19:
“Did Enviro-Extremists Cause Wildfire Crisis? ‘Trees Are Being Worshipped, God Is Being Ignored'”

Why did California experience 7,117 recorded wildfires in 2017, 6,284 separate wildfires in 2018, and, so far, in 2019, 5,061 separate wildfires?

Because there are nearly 150 million dead trees in California’s wilderness areas, providing cataclysmic fuel for sparks to become little fires that can become big fires. It’s also the reason behind PG&E cutting power to millions of homes in Northern and Central California.

But California’s ruling Democrat politicians refuse to LEARN from repeated, avoidable, tragic evidence. So they don’t TURN away from their worship of the environmental groups’ anti-people agenda of not thinning trees and brush, not clearing out dead wood and underbrush, and not installing protective fire breaks. So California BURNS and the People suffer.

This explains the rash of California wildfires both now and in recent years. The ruling Democrat politicians, who’ve been in virtual control of the California State Legislature for 60 years, have bowed down to the environmental wacko groups and refused to do their basic “gardening” and “pruning” of California’s sprawling wilderness.

So today, there is an overwhelming supply of combustible fodder for sparks to quickly become explosive “monster” fires that destroy homes and kill people. A child can understand how a match plus a pile of dry leaves can quickly turn into a fire — why can’t California’s ruling Democrat politicians? All these wildfires are on their watch.

Did the 2/3rd’s Democrats in control of both houses of the State Legislature so easily forget last year’s Carr Fire that incinerated the town of Paradise in Northern California? This deadly inferno killed 86 people and destroyed 18,661 structures, most of them residences. Stop and think about it. Isn’t a government that refuses to prevent killer wildfires — that can indeed be prevented — guilty of neglect, at least, or crimes against humanity, at most?

AN UNDENIABLE FACT: In many communities of the central and southern Sierra Nevada mountain range, “80 percent of trees are dead,” said Ken Pimlott, former director of Cal Fire. Source

Power blackouts and mismanagement of forests

Rep. McClintock said the forest service used to auction surplus timber harvested from national forests. This served two purposes: 1) clearing, cleaning, and thinning the forest; 2) providing usable timber for a myriad of industries. The timber the forest service auctioned off more than paid for the entire federal agency, and then some. Local governments even received 25 percent of the proceeds of the lumber auctions, while 75 percent went to the federal government.

“Revenues that our forest management agencies once produced – and that facilitated our forest stewardship – have all but dried up,” McClintock said. This has devastated rural communities that once thrived from the forest economy. McClintock said there were once 147 timber mills; now, there are only 29 in the country.

McClintock also pointed out that despite the growing population, visitation to national forests has declined significantly as the health of our forests has decayed. “We can no longer manage lands to prevent fire or even salvage dead timber once fire has destroyed it,” he said.

Private forests are still managed properly, but not forests on public lands.

That sound practice grounded to a halt when the most radical environmentalists took over. Now thick, overgrown and diseased forests have become tinder boxes and are burning down in California, leaving a trail of death and destruction.

“Excess timber WILL come out of the forest in one of only two ways. It is either carried out or it burns out,” McClintock added.

5 ways to lower your gas prices in California

Wednesday, October 9, 2019, 8:57 pm | Randy Thomasson

If you’re like me, you’re concerned about high gas prices in California.

As someone who watches the stock market, I shake my head at how California’s Democrat-controlled government somehow keeps the average price of regular gas above $4 per gallon, when oil prices are low, and when most other states enjoy much lower prices.

So, to help you and your family, here are SaveCalifornia.com’s 5 ways to fight against high gas prices:

1. Before you go to a gas station, do what I do — check out the best prices in your vicinity.

2. Drive less if you can, by driving more for your needs than your wants. This will likely mean combining errands. Sometimes this will mean changing where you buy goods and services. And might mean buying more online.

3. Consider buying a used car that averages above 30 mpg. Here are 15 fuel-efficient used cars under $5,000

4. When voting, don’t for an environmental activist candidate or ballot measure, because you’ll be supporting a lower supply of energy and higher energy prices (as well as higher prices for housing, food, and water).

5. Remember that Democrats have controlled the California State Legislature for 60 years. They caused and are still causing your high energy prices.

Why are gasoline prices so high in California?

  • California’s Democrat politicians, with the help of self-interested government unions, are devoted to big, expensive government, as well as to liberal environmental activists who regard dirt and trees as more important than people made in the image of God and people’s private property. The Democrat politicians have imposed the highest state gas tax in the nation: $1.26 a gallon (98 cents in gas taxes and gas fees, plus a 28-cent “mystery tax”).

  • California also has the highest gas prices in the contiguous 48 states.

  • California’s Democrat-run government forces gasoline to be more expensive to formulate, which is another disincentive to oil refineries trying to do business here:

“For many years, California also required that summer-blend gasoline — which is more expensive to produce and contains extra additives designed to reduce air pollution in the summer — be used all year round. So, while gasoline prices typically fall in September across the United States as stations switch to the cheaper winter blend, Californians were left paying higher prices. In 2012, around the time gasoline prices were breaking records, Governor Jerry Brown changed the regulations to permit winter-blend gasoline to be sold in California in an attempt to bring down rising gasoline prices. Still, both the summer and winter blends of gasoline used in California are more expensive to produce than those used in any other state.” “California Is Approaching $4 Gasoline, But It Has Only Itself To Blame,” Forbes, Sept. 28, 2018

  • In 2017, the Democrat-controlled California Energy Commission crowed about no new refineries and no new refineries:

“Permitting Issues. It is unlikely that new refineries will be built in California. In fact, from 1985 to 1995, 10 California refineries closed, resulting in a 20 percent reduction in refining capacity. Further refinery closures are expected for small refineries with capacities of less than 50,000 barrels per day. The cost of complying with environmental regulations and low product prices will continue to make it difficult to continue operating
older, less efficient refineries.”

  • And the Democrat politicians have also prohibited interstate oil pipelines into California, thus decreasing the supply, increasing the demand, and jacking up the price of gas for us all:

“With no major pipelines connecting California to its neighbors, the state remains largely untouched by the shale boom. While refiners in the Midwest and Gulf Coast are awash in cheap, American crude, those in California are paying as much as $6 more per barrel for oil shipped from Saudi Arabia, Ecuador and Colombia. That’s taken a toll on California pump prices, which were 61 cents higher per gallon last year than the national average.”

I hope you benefit from this information and will share it with others. California’s high gas prices are a negative consequence of our bad state government. When voters revolt against the establishment, this can change. In the meantime, let’s save on gas where we can.

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice;
But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.

Democrat politicians vs. vaccine-injured children

Monday, September 16, 2019, 10:10 am | Randy Thomasson

You’ve got to feel for the mothers and fathers of vaccine-injured children in California. Their God-given parental right to protect their children from harm is being murdered off by the ruling Democrats in Sacramento.

Because under the Democrats’ SB 276 and SB 714 — both signed by Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom on September 9, 2019 — no child who has ALREADY BEEN INJURED BY A VACCINE can be exempted by a loving, pro-family, pro-health, pro-reality pediatrician. No, the State will decide instead of doctors, and the aggressively pro-vaccine Big Government will issue very few exemptions.

This lack of compassion from the Democrat politicians means, to exempt your already-vaccine-injured child or genetically-vulnerable siblings of your child from future vaccines that threaten their health, you have only 3 possible paths when January 1, 2020 rolls around:

1. If you already have a medical exemption (or get one by December 31, 2019 from an understanding pediatrician) for your 7th-grade-and-above children enrolled in government-run schools, your children will never be forced to be injected with vaccines before they graduate.

2. Homeschool, because California homeschoolers are totally exempt from any forced vaccinations, whether from the Democrats’ SB 276 and SB 714 in 2019 or from the Democrat’s SB 277 in 2015.

3. Move to one of the 45 U.S. states that permit philosophical or religious exemptions to childhood vaccines.

When Susan Lawson of Colorado hears parents declaring, unequivocally, that everyone should vaccinate their children because it’s perfectly safe, she says it feels “like a punch in the gut.” That’s because she’s seen another side of the story: Her daughter Julia, now 9, was left with permanent brain damage — an injury acknowledged by a federal court payout — after receiving her MMRV (measles-mumps-rubella-varicella) shot when she was a year old.
