Send in your ‘troops’ to ‘kill’ the deceptive, harmful Gardasil bill

Saturday, May 27, 2023, 11:29 am | Randy Thomasson

This is our newest alert after the California State Assembly skipped over AB 659 on Friday, May 26 (depicted in the graphic immediately below). The deadline for bills to pass their house of origin is Friday, June 2. This might be the final battle — please scroll down for your action steps!

You can be very glad the deceptive, harmful, anti-family Gardasil bill (AB 659) DID NOT come up for a vote during the Monday, Thursday, and Friday Assembly floor sessions.

And it’s thanks to you and others who made calls! The flood of opposition has been key. And now you can fight to kill AB 659 with SaveCalifornia.com’s “long weekend” strategy.

With this momentum, let’s “pour it on” this 3-day weekend! I’m asking you to send in your “troops” (your voicemail messages). Let’s fill the inboxes of the deciding votes! Together, let’s “kill” the evil Gardasil bill!
CALLING INSTRUCTIONS
Whether you can leave one, some, or all of the voicemails, thank you!

1. Call your own state assemblymember. Find them by entering your voter address. When you leave your voicemail message Saturday, Sunday, or Monday, say your name and that you live in the district. Say, “The latest amendments to AB 659 make the deception even worse. You can’t say it’s not a mandate when you instruct parents that their children ‘are expected’ to ‘be fully immunized against human papillomavirus (HPV) before admission or advancement to the eighth grade level.’ Oppose this dishonest bill!”

2. Call Democrat Assemblymember Akilah Weber, an OB-GYN who abstained twice in committee on AB 659. Call 619-465-7903 or 916-319-2079, anonymously. Leave your voicemail, saying, “Thank you for not supporting AB 659. On the floor, please stand and speak against this misleading bill.”

3. Call the Democrats SaveCalifornia.com has identified, leaving your voicemails, anonymously, this long three-day weekend, for some or all of them. Tell these Democrats, “The latest amendments to AB 659 make the deception even worse. You can’t say it’s not a mandate when you instruct parents that their children ‘are expected’ to ‘be fully immunized against human papillomavirus (HPV) before admission or advancement to the eighth grade level.’ Defeat this misleading, dishonest bill!”

FACTS: The anti-family AB 659 would push pharmaceutical giant Merck’s Gardasil shots upon 6th and 7th graders in government, private, and church schools, and upon students 26 years or younger at CSU, UC, and all community colleges.

Merck wants BILLIONS in guaranteed income. So they’re happy with AB 659, as amended April 12 and May 22, to brashly and falsely claim their unsafe Gardasil jabs are “the public policy of the state,” and that pre-teens and young teens and young college students “are expected” to “be fully immunized against HPV before admission or advancement to the eighth grade level” or “before first-time enrollment at an institution of the California State University, the University of California, or the California Community Colleges.”

This means at least two painful shots that commonly cause fainting and seizures, not to mention all the debilitating and life-threatening injuries and autoimmune disorders that have resulted in primarily girls whose parents ignorantly thought Gardasil would prevent cervical cancer (it doesn’t.)

URGENT: AB 659 Assembly floor targets — please call now

Saturday, May 20, 2023, 5:08 pm | Randy Thomasson
Thank you for caring about children, parental rights, health, and your God-given liberties!

If you want to see the ineffective, harmful, tyrannical Gardasil bill (AB 659) stopped on the Assembly floor, and if you’ve already called your own assemblymember and Democrat Akilah Weber, here are a bunch of “swing votes” who need a flood of calls this weekend. Because the Assembly floor vote on AB 659 could be as soon as Monday afternoon!

In the 80-member California Assembly, there are 62 Democrats (a 3/4ths supermajority). Because a majority vote to pass bills is 41, our side must pull off at least 22 Democrats.

Please leave anonymous voicemails this weekend and by 8am Monday for some or all of the deciding votes and “swing votes” that SaveCalifornia.com has identified.

Anonymous, because messages where you reveal you live outside the district will be “trashed.” So be wise, strategic, and anonymous when you leave voicemails anytime this weekend. If you can participate, your calls should take less than a minute each!

Tell these Democrat assemblymembers, “Oppose AB 659, which falsely claims risky Gardasil shots are mandated. Stop misleading children and young adults and their families — defeat this dishonest bill.”

“Is There Objective Evidence that the Current HPV Vaccination Programs are not Justified?”
Session 7, 4th International Symposium on Vaccines in Leipzig, Germany (April 2016)
From the session’s conclusion:
Q: Is it ethical to put young women at risk of death or a disabling autoimmune disease at a pre-adolescent age for a vaccine that has not yet prevented a single case of cervical cancer, a disease that may develop 20-30 years after exposure to HPV, when the same can be prevented with regular Pap screening which carries no risks?
A: We don’t know if it can offer any long-term clinical benefit for a disease that is safely preventable through other methods.

ALERT: Can the harmful Gardasil bill be stopped?

Thursday, May 18, 2023, 12:32 pm | Randy Thomasson

As expected, the tyrannical Gardasil bill (AB 659) has passed the Democrats’ Assembly Appropriations Committee and has been sent to the Assembly floor.

Can this awful bill pushing unneeded, ineffective, harmful jabs upon children at both public and private schools — including church schools — be stopped? Perhaps. Here’s why:

1. AB 659 is blatantly deceptive: As amended April 12, AB 659 falsely threatens pre-teens, teens, and college students by purporting “it is the public policy of the state” that you “are expected” to be jabbed with Gardasil — when, legally, these shots would not be “required.” AB 659 is dishonest and misleading!

2. The bill had trouble being scheduled for committee: After being deceptively amended in order to pass the Health Committee, AB 659 languished for two weeks in the Appropriations Committee, having two hearings in a row “postponed.”

3. A key Democrat has abstained twice: Akilah Weber of San Diego, an OB-GYN, purposefully abstained twice in committee — on May 3 in the Health Committee and on May 17 in the Appropriations Committee. She apparently doesn’t want an HPV mandate and doesn’t like AB 659’s deception.

Bottom line, this bill is a Frankensteinian mess that never should have passed one committee, let alone two. Honest legislators should be embarrassed to vote for it.

So, because of bad substance and bad style, AB 659 could be stopped if enough Democrats mimic Weber’s abstentions on the Assembly floor.

Will you participate? With your help, AB 659 might be defeated on the Assembly floor before June 2, the last day for bills to pass their house of origin.

PLEASE ACT TODAY

Step 1: Call or email your own California state assemblymember. Confirm who’s yours here. When you make contact, identify yourself, since you live in the district. Urge your assemblymember to “Oppose AB 659, which falsely claims risky Gardasil shots are mandated. Stop misleading children and young adults and their families — kill this bad bill.”

If your assemblymember is a Republican, please add, “You need to stand and speak on the Assembly floor. Parents are counting on you to expose AB 659.”

Step 2: Leave your anonymous, afterhours voicemail messages (weekdays 7pm to 8am and all weekend) for Akilah Weber at her two offices, 619-465-7903 and 916-319-2079. In your genuinely appreciative recorded message, say, “Thank you for not supporting AB 659. On the floor, please stand and speak against this misleading bill.”

The Assembly floor vote on AB 659 could be as soon as the afternoon of Monday, May 22.

Before Gardasil my daughter was an outgoing, super funny, confident, soccer athlete, practicing 3-4 hrs a day. She planned to play HS soccer and move on to college soccer. Autumn was a free spirit and so full of life. Her love for animals and passion to save the mistreated drove her to want to open her own animal shelter. She had dreams, goals and a plan. That is until she had the Gardasil vaccine. In January of 2010 she began the series of Gardasil shots. Her second shot was on 3/31 and by 5/10 we had her back to the doctors due to shortness of breath, along with horrible rib and back pain. From then on, our nightmare just kept getting worse.
