Children’s souls dissed by California Senate

It’s not only sad — it’s frightening and angering that the California State Senate has said giving a little more religious Released Time Education away from the iron-fisted grip of the public schools upon children’s minds, hearts, bodies, and souls… is a BADDDDDD thing.

The vote Monday in the 40-member California State Senate was 15 yes, 18 no on SB 1457 (21 votes are needed to pass), which would allow school boards to expand the hours of Released Time Education and give some school credit hours to attending students.

One of the most evil things that happened during the debate was that pro-perversity Democrats labeled religious education as bad:

Senate Bill 1457, which was opposed by the state’s powerful teachers unions, faced strong objections from Democrats who argued that it would undermine the secular foundation of public education and violate the Constitution’s “establishment clause” separating church and state. Several members noted that the state would have no influence over the content of the religious instruction, raising the possibility that students might receive credit for anti-gay or white supremacist teachings. Another evil thing was the massively wealthy California teachers union lobbied hard against the bill, even pulling a co-author, Democrat Jim Beall, into the abstain column. Can you say pimps and prostitutes? If the 7 senators that purposefully abstained voted yes, the bill would have passed!

What’s your reaction when the majority of state senators are against children learning to love their neighbor as themselves and learning stealing is wrong and that God is watching them? With this, you know that the majority of these legislators are evil, corrupt, anti-children, anti-God, and need to be replaced.

Fortunately, this is an election year, and half of these state senate districts are up for grabs (so are all 80 state assembly districts and all 53 California congressional districts).

So please, response to this attack upon the most sublime, basic, traditional religious freedom bill imaginable for children:

1. REPORT: Let other people know who voted for or against moral standards for children. See the 15-18 Senate floor vote and Democrat floor analysis

2. CALL SACRAMENTO: Since SB 1457 was approved for “reconsideration” — meaning the bill could return for a second vote within a week — please call the 7 swing votes to urge them:”Vote yes on SB 1457. Children need to be taught do not steal and treat others as you ought to be treated. This bill is optional for school districts. Please do what’s right and vote yes.”

You OK paying for ‘sex changes’ for convicts?

You may not believe it, but California taxpayers must now pay for the malpractice of “sex changes.” It’s not just happening in some local governments, but now for convicted criminals in California state prisons!

California sets inmate sex reassignment rules: SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California prison officials have set the first standards in the nation for determining when transgender inmates should receive state-funded sex-reassignment surgery – a move that came after it spent years in court fighting to block the operations.

Under the policy that took effect Tuesday, prison mental health professionals would refer inmates for the surgery.

To qualify, prisoners must be diagnosed with what is formally known as gender dysphoria; lived as a member of the preferred gender for at least 12 months; and expressed a desire for sex-reassignment surgery for at least two years.

How in the world did we get here?

It all started in 1975 in California when homosexuality was decriminalized with a bill by Assemblyman Willie Brown, a San Francisco Democrat. First-term Governor Jerry Brown signed it after Lieutenant Governor Mervin Dymally, another Democrat, broke the tie vote in the state Senate.

Pandora’s Box open, the lie of “live and let live” was preached by moral relativists in order to shut up moral citizens. This was despite the hard evidence that homosexuality, bisexuality, and transsexuality are unnatural, unhealthy, unbiblical, and tyrannical.

Fast forward to today. Thanks to the majority Democrats and a handful for liberal Republicans at the State Capitol, California laws now unabashedly regard homosexuality, bisexuality, and transsexuality as good and natural, when these behaviors are unnatural, unhealthy and harmful. Steamrolling this perverse agenda has been liberal local governments such as San Francisco and Berkeley, as well as the taxpayer-funded University of California, and the Obama Administration. They seem to see unnatural “sex changes” that slice off healthy, God-given body parts as natural as having a baby!

Not surprisingly, the lesbian-gay-bisexual-transgender (“LGBT”) agenda no longer permits dissenters to live as they wish. Instead, the new “tolerance” is to punish dissent — the very definition of intolerance.

Therefore, Californians cannot openly exercise their moral values against homosexuality, bisexuality, and transsexuality in hiring and renting. What used to be 100% private ownership of property — whether your small business or your rental property — is no longer real. With the oppressive taxes, regulations, and bad laws, yesterday’s owners have now become virtual sharecroppers of the new “owners,” the “higher” socialistic government power. Bernie Sanders, a Socialist, must be very proud of California!

Growing up in Los Angeles, Walt had a tough but bearable start in life with a strict mother, a part-time policeman father – living in the shadow of a ‘brainiac’ brother.

When he was five, everything changed.

‘It was then my grandmother, when I was being babysat by her, started dressing me in female clothing. She even made me a purple chiffon evening dress,’ he said.

Suicide promotion bill stalled — act now to defeat it

I knew this could happen. Because suicide legalization has never passed a house of the California Legislature or passed on the California ballot, and only passed the state Senate this year, I knew that SB 128, the suicide promotion bill allowing doctors to prescribe a lethal drug to a so-called “terminal” patient, was a seriously uncomfortable notion that could be stalled in the Assembly. And that’s exactly what has happened, due to a preponderance of Latino Democrats who have a Catholic background with strong values against suicide.

Will this keep California from becoming the Suicide State that teaches young people that suicide is an answer? Yes, if Californians who care make phone calls to “hold” the reluctant Democrats on the committee and make them immovable (see phone numbers below).

When the Democrat author of SB 128 pulled the bill from the hearing roster on June 22, it was because the suicide bill didn’t have 10 votes to pass in the 19-member committee. You saw how SB 128 was in trouble due to a) concerns and proposed amendments from several of the committee’s Democrats, and b) public opposition — phone calls + expert lobbying at the Capitol + more people speaking out publicly. This is why SaveCalifornia.com has been working hard, both behind in the scenes and in public, as we’ve called on Californians to oppose this suicide promotion bill.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported: “Sources said six Democrats on the committee expressed reservations, five of whom are members of the Latino caucus. Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez, D-San Diego, confirmed she is among those who oppose the bill, citing personal reasons.”

So this is a temporary victory and is definitely good news! The 5 Democrat Latinos on the Assembly Health Committee who wouldn’t vote for suicide are: Roger Hernández of West Covina, Miguel Santiago of downtown Los Angeles, Freddie Rodriguez of Pomona, Susan Bonilla of Concord, and Lorena Gonzalez of San Diego. The other reluctant Democrat on the committee, who is not Latino, is likely either Adrin Nazarian of Van Nuys or Tony Thurmond of Oakland.

TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION: Please continue spreading the word to others and calling the swing votes on the Assembly Health Committee, which could still vote on SB 128 by between now and July 14. Tell them “The proposed amendments still allow coercion when the lethal drug is swallowed, contains a mis-definition of the word ‘terminal,” and deceptively permits a falsified death certificate. Please vote no on SB 128.”
