Are small business owners committing financial suicide?

Monday, March 30, 2020, 5:32 pm | Randy Thomasson

If the always-paid government bureaucracy wanted to kill off capitalism, they’re not wasting this opportunity. For every day, small businesses fail because they “aren’t open.”

Yet if you stay closed like the government wants, you might be committing financial suicide. Ask yourself — how long can you go without income?

Small business owners shouldn’t be overly-afraid of the government. Have you heard of a single business owner being fined for staying fully open during the virus scare? I haven’t. And so what if you’re fined? Wouldn’t a couple hundred dollars be a small price to pay compared to all the value you’ll receive by staying open?

And consider the various “bugs” that can be on every public door handle — whether it’s coronavirus, the flu, stomach flu, strep throat, pink eye, or the common cold. Which is why small business owners who are “open for business” should exercise (and require from their customers) an improved level of good hygiene.

What’s more, the “cure” for COVID-19 might already be here. On Sunday, the FDA approved the anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine sulfate. Millions of doses are being donated to the nation’s hospitals right now.

Is the COVID-19 lockdown overkill? One decade ago, America had another epidemic. But the 2009-2010 swine flu occurred when there was a Democrat in the White House, who the Big Media protected, and the opposition party Republicans did not politicize the virus.

The swine flu’s death toll was higher than (or some might argue, similar to) COVID-19. “According to the CDC from April 2009 to April 2010 there were about 60.8 million cases of the swine flu with 12,469 deaths in the United States. Unlike COVID-19, swine flu targeted the younger population, who health officials said had little to no existing immunity.” Source

Yet now we have a Republican president, who the Big Media hates, and who the opposition party Democrats seem to blame for everything. They unsuccessfully tried to oust him twice. Is it the Big Media’s turn to defeat Trump by eliminating his booming economy?

We are now at a point where the cure is worse than the disease. As R. Emmett Tyrrell Jr. wrote a week ago: “… we need not destroy our economy over this pandemic …The state we had arrived at by last weekend was explained cogently by Bob Luddy, the CEO and founder of CaptiveAire, in The American Spectator on Monday. He wrote: “Our leaders are creating an economic crisis and a major national security risk with limited data. The cure is far worse than any perceived impact by COVID-19.”

For small business owners, and workers who’ve been laid off without pay, the big question is how much more financial bleeding can you stand? Big stores like Wal-Mart and Target haven’t closed. So why must you?

For the sake of your constitutional rights, your God-given ownership rights, your family, and your in-born need to succeed, I encourage you to be “open for business,” along with taking wise steps of good hygiene. Don’t let the establishment destroy your livelihood!

“You shall not steal … You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

California’s rulers are killing innocent people

Friday, December 6, 2019, 11:47 pm | Randy Thomasson

The Liberal Left’s Democrat-controlled state government is killing innocent Californians.

Perhaps the last remaining independent state official, State Auditor Elaine Howle, reports that three county governments and the Governor’s office (Democrat Jerry Brown, followed by Democrat Gavin Newsom) were LAX (similar to “lackadaisical”) by NOT preparing for “monster” fires and NOT effectively evacuating people (some who burned inside their cars on clogged roads).

Amazingly, Howle uses the word “failed” in describing the State’s preparation for and response to wildfires, and even reports the consequences of not requiring all Californians to learn English (so non-English speakers didn’t understand evacuation instructions). What an indictment of your Democrat rulers.

Of course, the story behind the story, and the facts that the Liberal Left and Big Media are hiding from you, is that there are nearly 150 million dead trees and countless millions of acres of dead underbrush that the Democrat rulers of California refuse to remove. So the Democrat politicians who bow down to environmental wackos threaten and kill Californians instead. Truly, Democrat politicians’ policies regard trees and weeds as more valuable than people created in the image of God, which is hateful and wrong and a terrible sin.

Also, based on the evidence and the cause and effect of this whole matter, here’s a good question:

Should non-thinking Democrat voters be called “Dumbocrats”?

The Los Angeles Times reported on the failure of California’s Democrat voters to critically think:

“Pummeled by fires, drought and floods, California’s Democratic primary voters put fighting climate change at the top of their list of issues for the next president to tackle. Nearly half of likely Democratic primary voters call the issue the No. 1 priority for the next president, according to a new statewide poll conducted by UC Berkeley’s Institute of Governmental Studies for the Los Angeles Times.”

But get this — most Democrats never question what they’re told, and thus never study how the main influence of little climate changes on Planet Earth are from fluctuations in the Sun (Sol), which we revolve around by design: https://tinyurl.com/w855fab

And most Democrats never think of the logic of how pouring gasoline on a fire is dangerous, foolish, and wrong. But that’s figuratively what the Democrat rulers of California are doing. By not thinning live trees and bushes and not clearing out dead trees and underbrush, they are providing very combustible fodder to sparks that fly.

As I reported earlier, a child can understand how a lighted match can start a small fire. Why can’t the ruling Democrats in Sacramento? Oh, they understand. They just aren’t willing to go against their environmental group pimps, who value trees and weeds over people’s lives and property.

The latter might endanger the morals of an individual,
the former invariably endangers the morals of the entire country.”

The real reason for California’s wildfires will burn you up

SaveCalifornia.com on CBN News 10/30/19:
“Did Enviro-Extremists Cause Wildfire Crisis? ‘Trees Are Being Worshipped, God Is Being Ignored'”

Why did California experience 7,117 recorded wildfires in 2017, 6,284 separate wildfires in 2018, and, so far, in 2019, 5,061 separate wildfires?

Because there are nearly 150 million dead trees in California’s wilderness areas, providing cataclysmic fuel for sparks to become little fires that can become big fires. It’s also the reason behind PG&E cutting power to millions of homes in Northern and Central California.

But California’s ruling Democrat politicians refuse to LEARN from repeated, avoidable, tragic evidence. So they don’t TURN away from their worship of the environmental groups’ anti-people agenda of not thinning trees and brush, not clearing out dead wood and underbrush, and not installing protective fire breaks. So California BURNS and the People suffer.

This explains the rash of California wildfires both now and in recent years. The ruling Democrat politicians, who’ve been in virtual control of the California State Legislature for 60 years, have bowed down to the environmental wacko groups and refused to do their basic “gardening” and “pruning” of California’s sprawling wilderness.

So today, there is an overwhelming supply of combustible fodder for sparks to quickly become explosive “monster” fires that destroy homes and kill people. A child can understand how a match plus a pile of dry leaves can quickly turn into a fire — why can’t California’s ruling Democrat politicians? All these wildfires are on their watch.

Did the 2/3rd’s Democrats in control of both houses of the State Legislature so easily forget last year’s Carr Fire that incinerated the town of Paradise in Northern California? This deadly inferno killed 86 people and destroyed 18,661 structures, most of them residences. Stop and think about it. Isn’t a government that refuses to prevent killer wildfires — that can indeed be prevented — guilty of neglect, at least, or crimes against humanity, at most?

AN UNDENIABLE FACT: In many communities of the central and southern Sierra Nevada mountain range, “80 percent of trees are dead,” said Ken Pimlott, former director of Cal Fire. Source

Power blackouts and mismanagement of forests

Rep. McClintock said the forest service used to auction surplus timber harvested from national forests. This served two purposes: 1) clearing, cleaning, and thinning the forest; 2) providing usable timber for a myriad of industries. The timber the forest service auctioned off more than paid for the entire federal agency, and then some. Local governments even received 25 percent of the proceeds of the lumber auctions, while 75 percent went to the federal government.

“Revenues that our forest management agencies once produced – and that facilitated our forest stewardship – have all but dried up,” McClintock said. This has devastated rural communities that once thrived from the forest economy. McClintock said there were once 147 timber mills; now, there are only 29 in the country.

McClintock also pointed out that despite the growing population, visitation to national forests has declined significantly as the health of our forests has decayed. “We can no longer manage lands to prevent fire or even salvage dead timber once fire has destroyed it,” he said.

Private forests are still managed properly, but not forests on public lands.

That sound practice grounded to a halt when the most radical environmentalists took over. Now thick, overgrown and diseased forests have become tinder boxes and are burning down in California, leaving a trail of death and destruction.

“Excess timber WILL come out of the forest in one of only two ways. It is either carried out or it burns out,” McClintock added.
