Democrat legislators attack parents — again

Wednesday, April 12, 2023, 11:28 am | Randy Thomasson

Watch the debate where 4 Republicans spoke against and 8 Democrats spoke in support of AB 665 (starts 1:25:26, ends 1:51:28)

When the 80-member California State Assembly returned from its 10-day, taxpayer-funded “Spring Recess,” the bill the Democrats made sure to pass was eliminating parental consent for “mental health counseling” for their own child.

I want to publicly commend the four Republicans who stood up to expose the wrong of this bill. They were James Gallagher, Joe Patterson, Devon Mathis, and Tom Lackey. Yet AB 665 still passed after twice as many Democrats stood up to essentially say children know better than parents.

See the updated analysis of AB 665 at our Legislation Center

Yet this blatantly anti-family bill could have lost more votes if all, or nearly all, of the Republicans had stood to say something. I wish more Republicans had stood up to say:

  • “Why not allow children ages 11, 10, 9, 8, or 7 to consent?”
  • “Under your bill, is there any way a parent can prevent their 12-year-old child from being removed and placed into a ‘residential shelter’?”
  • “If a child independently consents to be placed in a ‘residential shelter,’ will the child’s parent be notified?”
  • “What legal safeguards are there to prevent non-family adults manipulating or coercing children to ‘consent’?”
  • “If parents are legally responsible for their own children, it’s wrong to separate their rights from their responsibility — this bill erases parents.”

It wasn’t just a failure that more Democrats spoke than Republicans, but that half of the 18-member Assembly Republican Caucus actually abstained on voting: Phillip Chen, Laurie Davies, Bill Essayli, Heath Flora, Josh Hoover, Jim Patterson, Kate Sanchez, Marie Waldron, and Greg Wallis. This is a significant lack of conviction!

PLEASE FOLLOW-UP WITH THE REPUBLICANS:

1. Thank the 4 Republicans who spoke for parents and against AB 655. Ask them to keep exposing the Democrats on the floor: James Gallagher (916-319-2003), Joe Patterson (916-319-2005), Devon Mathis (916-319-2033), and Tom Lackey (916-319-2034).

2. Call the 14 Republicans who were silent on AB 665. Tell them they need to speak up to expose anti-family bills (their voices are worth more than their votes): Juan Alanis (916-319-2022), Phillip Chen (916-319-2059), Megan Dahle (916-319-2001), Laurie Davies (916-319-2074), Diane Dixon (916-319-2072), Bill Essayli (916-319-2063), Vince Fong (916-319-2032), Heath Flora (916-319-2009), Josh Hoover (916-319-2007), Jim Patterson (916-319-2008), Kate Sanchez (916-319-2071), Tri Ta (916-319-2070), Marie Waldron (916-319-2075), and Greg Wallis (916-319-2047).

The way of the wicked is like darkness;
They do not know what makes them stumble.
Proverbs 4:19

He devises wickedness on his bed;
He sets himself in a way that is not good;
He does not abhor evil.

There is a way that seems right to a man,
But its end is the way of death.

Good and bad Republicans

Tuesday, March 21, 2023, 3:27 pm | Randy Thomasson

I have long advocated against voting for “any Republican.” Because when you compare a liberal Democrat to a liberal Republican, ONLY the “Republican” can destroy the Republican Party from within.

And that’s what’s happening in California, as wrongly-motivated Republican officeholders and leaders partner with evil. Because when one’s motives are money, position, power, and false significance, it’s all too easy be self-centered and “sell out” to the highest bidder.

What is a good Republican?

SaveCalifornia.com reported to you last month about the Republican-majority city council of Huntington Beach no longer flying the “LGBTQIA+ pride” flag. Because their new ordinance only permits government and military flags on city property. This is highly commendable and a role-model for Republican city councils throughout California.

And nationally, it’s encouraging that, so far, 8 states have prohibited or restricted transsexual surgeries or procedures for minors. Florida just joined Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Mississippi, where state legislatures have a Republican majority. Republicans who voted yes are real Republicans!

What is a bad Republican?

Even when Republicans are the minority, they should speak up to sway key Democrat legislators and to educate the public. Yet, sadly, that’s not the M.O. of “Republicans” in Sacramento:

1. Silent Republican assemblymembers: Last year, several high-profile anti-family bills narrowly passed the Assembly floor when zero Republicans spoke to expose them. This was despite their offices receiving expert talking points about these truly awful bills.

2. Freshman Republicans selling out in Sacramento: And here in 2023, of the 8 freshmen Republican assemblymembers, several have already voted against family values. Voting yes on child mutilation and eliminating a parent’s right to know (AB 223) were Republicans Diane Dixon and Bill Essayli, while Republican Kate Sanchez voted no. Voting yes to accuse sincerely-religious law enforcement candidates of “biased conduct” (AB 443), when their social media follows a “hate group” (which Leftists call pro-family organizations in favor of Creator God’s design for marriage, sex, and family) were Republicans Juan Alanis and Tom Lackey. Coauthoring ACA 5 to put “marriage equality” on the ballot was Republican Greg Wallis. So far, half of the new Republicans – the RINOs — are selling out!

3. Anti-family, then “pro-family,” then anti-family: On Sunday, March 12, at the California Republican Party convention, 70% of the delegates voted to fully embrace (permanently charter) the “LGBTQIA+”- agenda “Log Cabin Republicans” (founded in 1977 to advocate for homosexual teachers). Eyewitnesses saw Assemblyman Bill Essayli of Riverside County stand and speak in support of honoring and embracing this anti-family group.

The following day, Monday, March 13, Essayli held a district news conference to publicize his amended bill, AB 1314, to require public schools to inform parents in writing if a child “identifies” as “transgender.” Yet the very next day, Tuesday, March 14, Essayli voted yes in committee for the Democrats’ AB 223 to push aside parents by requiring secrecy for minors seeking a legal change of “gender identity.” So he’s against secret “transitions” at school, but OK with them in court?

By advocating for the “LGBTQIA+” agenda at the GOP convention and in committee, Essayli has shown his true colors. His legislation to notify parents of their child’s “transgender” identity won’t survive a Democrat-run committee, but his vote for secret “transitions” in court will likely pass the Democrat-controlled Legislature. “Republican games” like this are sickening, aren’t they?

“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.”

MAM’MON, noun Riches; wealth; or the god of riches.

Newsom & Co. to end health care mask ‘mandate’ April 3

Monday, March 6, 2023, 4:17 pm | Randy Thomasson

Thank you opposing useless mask and Covid vaccine “mandates”! Because they don’t stop transmission of viruses and instead have harmed a whole lot of people.

The great news is the tyrannical, unconstitutional Newsom & Co. has announced the “requirement” to wear a mask at hospitals, medical offices, and residential care facilities will end April 3.

Even if this is happening because Gavin Newsom’s unofficially running for President and wants to avoid criticism of being the last governor in the nation to stop “mandating” people wear useless, suffocating masks, rejoice that this dehumanizing edict is going away. Thank you for anything you’ve done the last three years to oppose these “face diapers”!

Please help hospitals and medical offices also end their mask “mandates,” and not continue them on their own past April 3. You can influence them by printing or saving to your phone the CDPH update page to show them this month.

As for the horrible, harmful “Covid vaccine mandate” upon health care workers, it will no longer be enforced by the State of California as of April 3 (or sooner for all practical purposes). What this means is any hospital or medical group or medical office stopping its internal “Covid vaccine requirement” is unlikely to suffer any punishment by government enforcers. Because Newsom & Co. won’t enforce it as of April 3. And last June, Biden & Co. stopped requiring state inspectors to check for “Covid vaccine” compliance.

When will Biden & Co. end its “health worker Covid vaccine mandate”? The White House Occupant is keeping his unscientific federal “emergency” going until May 11. After that, it will take another executive order reversing Biden’s 2021 “Covid vaccine” mandate upon health care workers nationwide (except where hospitals and medical groups and offices already honor religious exemptions). Because otherwise, Biden & Co.’s unscientific, harmful, and oppressive “health care worker vaccine mandate” lasts until November 2024!

Therefore, it’s probable most California hospitals and large medical groups won’t end their harmful, dehumanizing, and scaredy-cat “Covid vaccine mandates” upon workers and contractors until Biden & Co. reverses its 2021 national “order” (which, nearly 14 months ago, the unscientific, anti-medical-freedom Supreme Court opined was safe and legal).

If and when Biden & Co. — even for political reasons — reverses its inhuman “jab mandate” that violated your God-given medical freedom, this would provide much-needed relief, enabling health-conscious doctors, nurses, and others fired for not taking the injurious Covid jab to get their jobs back. You can call the White House Comment Line at 202-456-1111 to leave a message demanding, “End all Covid mandates now!”

“I apologize on behalf of my profession for refusing to listen to patients with vax injuries.”
Dr. Michael Huang, a California physician who’s treated 4,000 COVID patients and says he’s seen hundreds of vaccine-related injuries, cancer, pregnancy loss, etc.

“I have been on a two year medical journey from hell since receiving the Pfizer Vax in 12/20 and 1/21. Multiple injuries after I did what I thought I should as duty to protect my patients as a frontline physician. Had many doubts, but still proceeded in good faith. Now the system is failing me and the irony of the responses by some accusing me of pushing the vax is ironic.”
Dr. Melissa Halvorson Smith, a gynecologist who heads the Women’s Health Center in North Dakota, who was injured by 2 doses of Pfizer COVID-19 mRNA vaccine.

“I received 3 vaccinations, I was physically injured in a very significant way as many others were injured. And in addition, my trust in the nature of the decisions and in the processes of making them has been severely eroded. No one asked and checked. I will fight with all my might so that truthful answers regarding all decisions and not just regarding the vaccine are given.
Professor Shmuel Shapira, M.D., MPH, served as the Director General of the Israel Institute for Biological Research (IIBR) between 2013 and 2021, where he led Israel’s effort to develop a coronavirus vaccine.”
