Refute Gavin Newsom’s 3 big lies

Wednesday, March 9, 2022, 11:09 am | Randy Thomasson

In his March 8, 2022 “State of the State” address, Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom patted himself on the back for locking down and masking Californians, waging war against oil, and “protecting democracy.” But his claims are untrue.

Newsom’s Big Lie #1: “Our lockdowns, distressing as they were, saved lives. Our mask mandates saved lives. Your choices saved lives. California experienced far lower COVID death rates than any other large state. Fewer than Texas, Ohio. Fewer than Florida — 35% fewer, to be exact.” Source

No, the science clearly shows that the tyrannical lockdowns didn’t work, dehumanizing masks didn’t and still don’t work, and the “Covid vaccines” don’t work either:

And because of the medical establishment’s cooking of the numbers, the actual deaths “from” (not “with”) Covid are unknown and anything but “exact.” Also, factor in that lockdowns, masks, and plexiglass didn’t slow down the virus in California. What’s more, making Newsom’s claim suspect is last fall, California reported twice the Covid “cases” than Florida. So instead of saying he did good for Californians, Newsom has done great harm — physically, emotionally, economically, politically — and continues to threaten people’s health and lives (see here and here) by “ordering” dangerous “Covid vaccines.”

Newsom’s Big Lie #2: “Drilling even more oil only leads to even more extreme weather, more extreme drought, more wildfire. We need to be fighting polluters, not bolstering them. And in the process of so doing, freeing us once and for all from the grasp of petro-dictators.” Source

Wait, history and honesty prove forest fires and wildfires can grow into “monster fires” because of dead trees and brush just waiting to ignite. In 2019, it was reported that California wilderness areas contained more than 163 million dead trees (the number now is likely around 200 million).
Honest experts know destructive fires can be prevented by intelligent forest management. But Newsom is unwilling to do that — and bring in the logging companies to clear out dead trees and thin out compacted trees, which would also dramatically lower lumber prices. So, he instead concocts “climate change” and blames “petro-dictators.” What a farce!

Newsom’s Big Lie #3: “While we might not have strongmen literally waging war in our country, we are plagued by agents of a national anger machine, fueling division, weaponizing grievance. Powerful forces and loud voices — stoking fear and seeking to divide us, weakening the institutions of our democracy.” Source

Something vitally important that Newsom ignores for you but always wants himself is freedom of speech, guaranteed by both the California and U.S. constitutions. And whether he likes it or not, people’s “anger” and “grievance” are allowed, especially when Newsom’s unconstitutional, thieving, oppressive government is “fueling division” instead of unity.

And what is the “democracy” that Newsom claims to be concerned about? A democracy is defined as government by the people, where, each election, adult citizens can vote once. But Newsom’s littering of California with mail-in ballots, supporting counties’ fraud-inviting computers, permitting election fraud at the local level to continue unabated, and permitting the great mischief of ballot “harvesting” amounts to the worst “weakening the institutions of our democracy” in state history. In our constitutional republic, Newsom is the domestic enemy, which is why his false narratives must be exposed, opposed, and refuted.

Like a roaring lion and a charging bear
Is a wicked ruler over poor people.
A ruler who lacks understanding is a great oppressor,
But he who hates covetousness will prolong his days.

ALERT: Newsom ‘permits’ some Californians to be mask-free

Monday, February 28, 2022, 9:26 pm | Randy Thomasson

Pressured by reality and political peers, Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom has done the minimum “he had to do” by providing some facial relief to children and adults in California.

It’s GOOD for schoolchildren and small children, and adults who work for companies and school districts that will drop their unscientific, useless, harmful, dehumanizing “mask mandates.”

But it’s BAD where local governments continue their medical tyranny (because Newsom is permitting them to continue abusing Californians), and in select environments where supposedly masks work, when they somehow don’t work elsewhere.

In his February 28 news release (which was coordinated between three Democrat governors, so none of them would act first and embarrass the others), Newsom, still erroneously believing what comes out of his mouth is the actual law of the land, said:

“In California, starting March 1, masks will no longer be required for unvaccinated individuals, but will be strongly recommended for all individuals in most indoor settings. After March 11, in schools and child care facilities, masks will not be required but will be strongly recommended. Masks will still be required for everyone in high transmission settings like public transit, emergency shelters, health care settings, correctional facilities, homeless shelters and long-term care facilities. As always, local jurisdictions may have additional requirements beyond the state guidance.”

In his release, Newsom also claimed “Masks are an effective tool to minimize spread of the virus and future variants, especially when transmission rates are high. We … will continue to take measures rooted in science.”

Yet the science conclusively shows masks do not prevent viral transmission, because small viruses go right through masks’ larger holes. No, despite Newsom’s mantra that masks are effective, the science clearly shows masks did not slow the spread of Covid in the U.S.

My advice: Stop covering your face, your children’s and your grandchildren’s faces today. Show your God-given face and smile whenever and wherever you shop (do NOT declare your vaccination status). Encourage businesses to get with reality and be pro-people and stop needlessly masking their employees. Call and email your local school board, city council, and county supervisors to demand they terminate their local state of emergency and end all their Covid mandates now.

If a ruler pays attention to lies,
All his servants become wicked.
Proverbs 29:12

Because of the transgression of a land, many are its princes;
But by a man of understanding and knowledge
Right will be prolonged.

How government-controlled health care was stopped in California

Tuesday, February 1, 2022, 9:49 am | Randy Thomasson

Pro-family, constitutional Californians are breathing a sigh of relief now that one of the worst Democrat bills of the year has been stopped.

On January 31, AB 1400 to replace private insurance with a big-government program that would have rationed medical treatment, created long waiting lists, and imposed new, high taxes was stopped on the floor of the California State Assembly.

So now, AB 1400, which was introduced in 2021, is dead for the year. Because the California State Constitution, Article IV, Section 10(c), in its first sentence, reads: “Any bill introduced during the first year of the biennium of the legislative session that has not been passed by the house of origin by January 31 of the second calendar year of the biennium may no longer be acted on by the house.”

But how was AB 1400 defeated? Especially when there are currently 56 Democrats in the 80-member Assembly (there are four vacant Democrat seats), who have a vise-grip hold that’s more than a two-thirds majority, allowing Democrats to pass any bill they want?

Because it was a perfect storm. As ultra-left-wing “resetting” Democrats pushed government-controlled health care, it seems most everyone else came against AB 1400: Doctors and hospitals and insurance companies, business associations, and taxpayer advocates strongly opposed it. And most private unions, which want to keep their high-paid health plans, sat on the sidelines, refusing to support AB 1400’s elimination of private health insurance.

These large, secular forces provided the primary lobbying. Providing secondary influence were concerned Californians (like you), who called and emailed, creating a noticeable flood of opposition. The calls and emails the last few days before the scheduled vote were “insurance,” if you will, for the direct lobbying of all the others.

A final takeaway is that even when the New Communist Democrats have a sizable majority, you can depend on new topics — like eliminating private health insurance — containing more shock value than old ones. And, in my opinion, this big “spanking” of the Assembly Democrats by ferocious direct and indirect lobbying should be remembered — and provide restraint against a new bill — for at least a year. Thank you for participating in this important, rare victory against big, new tyranny!

See more about AB 1400 (and its funding mechanism, ACA 11, which is also likely dead for the year) at the SaveCalifornia.com Legislation Center.
