What does Thanksgiving really mean? When you turn the word around, it reads, “giving thanks.” That’s a clue, because when we thank, we thank persons, don’t we?
In the Bible, thanksgiving means Giving Thanks to God, for creating and sustaining us:
Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations. Psalm 100: 3-5
Yet many people find it difficult to be genuinely thankful to Creator God.
For some, it’s because they don’t thank Him daily. Others lack a Biblical worldview. Still others believe in thanking God, but focus more on losses, producing a sad or angry countenance.
Yet God, who wants a voluntary-love relationship with us, gave people the choice to worship Him or not, to obey or disobey, to be blessed or cursed.
By this standard, we know the difference between good and evil; that people’s sins create problems in this world; and that the God of the Bible, Who sustains us all, is good all the time.
“Thank-you therapy” pays off. When we look into the Word of God and look up, we can have thankful hearts, every day.
Want to inspire thankful hearts at your Thanksgiving table? Ask everyone to say what they thank God for — not thanking anyone or anything else — but specifically thanking God.
You’ll be surprised how, for many, thanking God is a brand-new thought — which might just be the best thought they ever had.
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6

SaveCalifornia.com provides this solely for educational purposes and does not support or oppose candidates for public office.
To help you and other reasonable Californians vote right, I want to remind you of what SaveCalifornia.com announced Sept. 21: Why we’re opposing all 7 ballot propositions.
Please visit our Pro-Family Election Center (we’ve just updated our analysis of Prop. 1 and 31) to see why. Here’s a shortened version for you to see and share:
In America, election fraud by Democrat politicians, bureaucrats, and activists is a factor, but not an absolute.
Because if “they” were in total control of election outcomes, we’d never see conservatives or Republicans elected, or Republicans recapture both houses of Congress (as they’re predicted to do this election). And you wouldn’t see Gavin Newsom openly worrying Republicans could flip four U.S. House seats in California.
That said, anyone who’s seen the video evidence of paid “mules” stuffing “drop boxes” in the dead of night knows unconstitutional Democrat malfeasance is real. For this and other reasons, I urge you to avoid the insecurity of drop boxes. For who knows who really picks them up and transports them unmolested to the county elections office?
Instead, I recommend you to either vote in-person at a physical polling place in your county, or go to your county elections office to deliver your sealed ballot inside. These are probably the most secure voting methods in your county of residence. But if you can’t vote this way, please still vote by Nov. 8 any legal way you can.
[T]he time has come that Christians must vote for honest men and take consistent ground in politics or the Lord will curse them … Christians have been exceedingly guilty in this matter. But the time has come when they must act differently … Christians seem to act as if they thought God did not see what they do in politics. But I tell you He does see it – and He will bless or curse this nation according to the course they [Christians] take [in politics]. Charles Finney (1792-1875), leader of the Second Great Awakening in the U.S.
These are not fantastical, but valid questions. Because the continued — and accelerating — tyranny, corruption, and evil emanating from Biden & Co. Democrats is waking up many Americans, including more independents and even Democrat voters in California.
Right now, national surveys show Americans are most concerned about inflation and crime. For example, an Oct. 12 Rasmussen Reports survey found 84% of likely voters, including 77% of Democrats, said “rising prices would be important in their vote.”
These polls reflect California too. A Sept. 2–11 PPIC survey found “an overwhelming majority of Californians say rising prices are causing financial hardship for their household.” This includes complaints of a “serious hardship” from inflation among 50% of Californians earning under $40,000 a year, among 46% of Latinos, among 45% of blacks, and among 43% of Californians earning from $40,000 to less than $80,000 per year.
Will you take advantage of this historic backlash brewing against the inhuman tyranny of the Democrat politicians? You have every reason to increase your get-out-the-vote activity and “ride this wave” of anti-Democrat-politician sentiment. Because it’s plausible the expected “red wave” will help conservatives capture more seats in the California State Legislature and in the U.S. Congress.
Because inflation is at a 40-year high in the USA. As Breitbart and Natural News reported:
The highest price increases are being seen in food, airfare, natural gas, health insurance and public transportation. Butter is up 32.2% and eggs are up 30.5%. A Breitbart news story reveals more shocking numbers: (note the nearly 16% increase in vegetable prices in just one month…)
– Fresh and dried vegetables: up 15.7 percent for the month and 40.2 percent for the year. – Grains: up 10.7 percent for the month and 30.4 percent for the year. – Fresh eggs: up 16.7 percent for the month and 97.3 percent for the year. – Bakery products: up 0.8 percent for the month and 14.0 percent for the year. – Pasta: up 1.1 percent for the month and 34.1 percent for the year.
So if you’re concerned about inflation — gas prices, food prices, product prices, and more — know many other Californians and Americans are too. The average voter is also considered about violent crime.
