You didn’t hear this on TV, but the homosexual special-interest bill pressuring California government schools to hold an annual “Harvey Milk Gay Day” has passed another Democrat-controlled committee.
SB 572 would openly promote homosexuality, bisexuality and transsexuality to children as young as five years old. There is no parental permission required and no opt-out allowed.
Wednesday’s vote in the Assembly Education Committee was predictable. Only Democrats voted for and spoke in favor of SB 572. The Republican committee members were no help at all — they were absent during the bill’s hearing!
Sitting a few feet from the bill’s author, Senator Mark Leno of San Francisco, I witnessed great insecurity from him and fellow homosexual Tom Ammiano, a committee member. After I and others testified why SB 572 was wrong, Ammiano and Leno launched into a tirade against the “words” and “hate” and “ignorance” and “stupidity” of me and other pro-family opponents of SB 572. Bad behavior seems easier when no TV cameras or Republican legislators are in the room!
Read about it in our June 17 news release.
TAKE ACTION NOW
Please call Arnold Schwarzenegger to urge his veto of SB 572, “Harvey Milk Gay Day.” You can email and call him and your California state legislators here.
The problem is, there’s a virtual media blackout on this horrible bill. Despite SaveCalifornia.com sending out news advisories inviting the media to the hearing, there were no TV cameras in the room.
As I write to you, the only media coverage has been from KGO-TV in San Francisco, which did this short story. And this only because I told the reporter, who was interviewing me about President Obama giving marriage benefits to homosexual federal employees, that she should also cover the “Gay Day” bill which had just passed committee.
So please do your part to expose “Harvey Milk Gay Day.” Tell everyone you know about this very bad bill that would pressure every public school to openly promote homosexuality, bisexuality and transsexuality to kids. Tell them to call Arnold Schwarzenegger to urge his veto at 916-445-2841.
This is a very sobering situation. With the Democrat legislators virtually unanimous in their support of sexually indoctrinating children, California’s socially-liberal yet aiming-to-be-popular “Republican” governor is the only practical backstop. So please call him at 916-445-2841. Schwarzenegger vetoed the same bill last year and could do so again if he receives a flood of renewed opposition to SB 572.
