Needed: A conservative constitutional fighter

Sunday, October 22, 2023, 12:05 pm | Randy Thomasson

2ND UPDATE Tuesday Oct. 24: In tonight’s Republican caucus meeting, a fourth round of voting to choose a House speaker nominee. And, with 128 votes, Mike Johnson of Louisiana has the majority. Among all the speaker candidates so far, with Liberty Score of 74%, Mike Johnson is the 5th-most conservative (after Byron Donalds (100%), Jim Jordan (94%), Kevin Hern (82%), and Gary Palmer (80%). So will the RINOs finally fold and support Johnson?

UPDATE Tuesday Oct. 24: Today, RINO Tom Emmer (Majority Whip under former speaker Kevin McCarthy) won the majority vote of the Republican caucus. Yet it took four ballots, more Emmer and his moderate/liberal “Republican” allies expected. Then Emmer requested a roll call vote of Republicans and more than 20 conservative, moral-values Republicans said “no way” to Emmer’s left-leaning candidacy. So after 4 hours of hard questions in this private “town hall meeting,” Emmer ended his bid for speaker (see latest updates).

As soon as Wednesday, Oct. 25, another round — five Republicans will speak to the Republican caucus members about why they should be speaker. Among the five now running, can you spot the RINOs (Republicans in Name Only)? Hint: They have low grades on conservative, constitutional policies:

Byron Donalds of Florida
Liberty Score 100% (A grade)

Chuck Fleischmann of Tennessee
Liberty Score 56% (F grade)

Mark Green of Tennessee
Liberty Score 85% (B grade)

Mike Johnson of Louisiana
Liberty Score 74% (C grade)

Roger Williams of Texas
Liberty Score 76% (C grade)

Call your Republican U.S. Rep now at 202-225-3121 to demand Byron Donalds as speaker!

After rejecting both RINO Steve Scalise and pro-family constitutionalist Jim Jordan, the registered Republicans running the U.S. House of Representatives are now on “round three” of speaker candidates.

Demonstrating how this race is now wide open, there are several who have thrown their hats into the ring. On Friday, SaveCalifornia.com showed our social media followers the conservative moral/social/fiscal issues Liberty Scores of the speaker candidates:

Today’s update is Jodey Arrington of Texas is not running, but Gary Palmer of Alabama is. And among the Republican speaker candidates, Palmer has the third-highest Liberty Score — 80%. The Republican caucus is expected to hold internal votes as soon as this Tuesday.

UPDATE Monday, Oct. 23: RINO Republican Dan Meuser has dropped out.

Why do these scores, based on member’s actual votes, matter? Because we need a conservative constitutional fighter as the powerful Speaker of the House to: short-term, steadfastly stop all bad bills; mid-term, aggressively use the House’s investigatory powers to expose the Deep State, the Bidens, election fraud, and much more; and long-term, to help true conservatives (not RINOs) be elected.

TAKE QUICK ACTION: Call your own Republican U.S. Representative (if you have one), to say “Support a conservative constitutional fighter for speaker.” It would also be wise to name your top 1, 2, or 3 speaker picks, since at Tuesday’s private, internal meeting, there might be several ballots in an elimination process. Call 202-225-3121 and provide your zip code, or send an email via house.gov when you enter your zip code.

Update on the harmful, ineffective Gardasil bill

Monday, August 21, 2023, 10:21 am | Randy Thomasson

Remember, on all important issues, you must make an independent decision based on the evidence, and not take for granted what an authority figure says.

With the bad California bill pushing Gardasil very likely to pass (first because of the Democrat author’s trickery and then because a Democrat committee chair’s amendment to make it easier to pass), you need to warn others that Gardasil, manufactured by pharmaceutical giant Merck, doesn’t protect against cervical cancer but harms many (mostly pre-teens and teens) who are injected with it.

AB 659 still pushes the painful, ineffective, harmful Gardasil shots as “the public policy of the state.” The bill, as amended July 3, is still coercive, reading:

SEC. 4. Section 120336 is added to the Health and Safety Code, to read:

120336. (a) It is the public policy of the state that pupils are recommended to be fully immunized against human papillomavirus (HPV) before admission or advancement to the eighth grade level of any private or public elementary or secondary school.

(b) Upon a pupil’s admission or advancement to the sixth grade level, the governing authority of any private or public elementary or secondary school shall submit to the pupil and their parent or guardian a notification containing a statement about the state’s public policy described in subdivision (a) and advising that the pupil be fully immunized against HPV before admission or advancement to the eighth grade level, in compliance with the notification requirements of Article 4 (commencing with Section 48980) of Chapter 6 of Part 27 of Division 4 of Title 2 of the Education Code.

And then the amended AB 659 pushes the same coercion on college students:

SEC. 6. Section 120390.6 is added to the Health and Safety Code, to read:

120390.6. It is the public policy of the state that students who are 26 years of age or younger are recommended to be fully immunized against human papillomavirus (HPV) before first-time enrollment at an institution of the California State University, the University of California, or the California Community Colleges.

Because of this language, no honest person can say the amended AB 659 is uncoercive. And because of the evidence of harm, no informed person can call Gardasil safe. And because of the facts about cervical cancer, no one can prove Gardasil is effective.

Since the two bad “deals” to amend the bill made it easier for AB 659 to pass, our opposition efforts were stymied. Expect this awful bill to pass the Democrat-controlled California State Legislature by September 14 and be signed by uberliberal Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom by October 14. You can track AB 659’s status here.

But don’t think like a victim. Act now to share with your family members and friends and acquaintances the evidence that Gardasil is ineffective and harmful and not required, no matter what doctors or educrats or politicians or media tell you.

4th International Symposium on Vaccines in Germany (April 2016), Session 7: “Is There Objective Evidence that the Current HPV Vaccination Programs are not Justified?” (see video)
From the session’s conclusion:
Q: Is it ethical to put young women at risk of death or a disabling autoimmune disease at a pre-adolescent age for a vaccine that has not yet prevented a single case of cervical cancer, a disease that may develop 20-30 years after exposure to HPV, when the same can be prevented with regular Pap screening which carries no risks?
A: We don’t know if it can offer any long-term clinical benefit for a disease that is safely preventable through other methods.

Again, the Constitution trumps Democrat politicians!

Here’s a much-needed constitutional victory, with more work to be done!

On January 25, U.S. Judge William Shubb of Sacramento issued a strongly-worded preliminary injunction against AB 2098, a Democrat law permitting the state’s medical board to yank the licenses of physicians who “disseminate” information regarding COVID-19 that departs from the “contemporary scientific consensus.”

So, for the time being, California doctors and surgeons who study science won’t be punished for telling the truth. A needed win!

Judge Shubb is an 84-year-old Republican who seems to still remember and respect the First Amendment. He was nominated in 1990 by President George H.W. Bush, and before that clerked for a Republican federal judge of President Dwight Eisenhower.

There are still enough constitutional judges on the federal courts — either at the district level or in the appellate courts and, depending on the issue, at the U.S. Supreme Court. Therefore, now is the time to file lawsuits against other unconstitutional laws passed by the Democrat-controlled California Legislature and signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom.

TAKE ACTION:

1. Learn more about why bad Democrat laws passed and signed last year can and should be overturned.

2. Think about people you know who will be victimized by these bad laws (see the slides below) and help them contact attorneys who can help (see last slide).

Free speech, like other constitutional rights, only makes sense if one is free to use it unwisely. Otherwise, there’s no freedom to speak; there’s only a freedom to speak what some arbiter declares to be the truth.
Stephen Carter, former clerk for Democrat U.S. Supreme Court Judge Thurgood Marshall
